Thanks for your word of encouragement. I two sponsors over there which one is a British born citizen and the other is having a Permanent resident status both of them will be inviting me. I was thinking with that i can have an upper hand.
It depends on if you qualify as an individual for the visa

No buddy u don't need a Turkish transit visa because your valid UK visa covers that. However on your way back to Nigeria u will most likely sleep over in Turkey due to long layover. So if u don't want to sleep at the airport till the following day u are free to apply for Turkey visit visa at the airport. Have your debit card with you. Once u get the visa proceed to immigration for entry stamping, after that locate the Turkish airlines hotel desk and request for a reservation. The airline will lodge u in a hotel free or charge and still bring u back to the airport the following day for your flight home. Gd luck.

do Nigerian passport need a transit visa when having a long transit time in turkey?

No. You can stay as much as your transit time permit. The Istanbul Airport transit area is full of activity to keep you busy if you do not have a visa to enter Turkey.

The fact you have sponsors is not a guarantee that you willl get the visa. Like I said, your chances are probably 30%. To be honest you are about to dash UKVI money if you apply. A word is enough for the wise.

I am not the one to encourage people to apply when I know that they will be refused. A visa fees of N100 plus is not easy to throw away. When the OP has a strong home tie, he can apply.

U do not need a transit visa if u've got any of these visas on your passport : US, CANADA, UK, SCHENGEN, JAPAN or AUSTRALIA. U will be given a month visit visa at the airport which covers the transit stuff but be mindful of the fact that ur flight must be Turkish Airlines for you to be able to get the visa at the airport. The visa cost about $40.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by MarvelRay: 3:18pm On Apr 29, 2018
Good day house.

1. Please, I want to ask which documents should be in colored printing or photocopy when applying to UK embassy?

2. Also, after confirming ur application and booking appointment can you go back and edit any information on ur application?

3. I'd like to use the Ikeja UK visa application centre. Hope it's ok because of the user pay fee which you don't pay for.

4. How many months utility should be provided and is it to be in black and white or colur?

Lol you can’t discourage me even people that are not financially buoyant as i am are giving uk visit visa. I have over 600k in my account currently with an opening balance of 1.3 million for the last three months. Don’t worry I will come back here to give you my testimony. My elder bro got a uk visa last year with only 100k in his account so you never can tell

Hi guys , just an update on my time frame, filled form April 1st and finished filling in the 2nd due to laziness
Booked appointment for the 9th April 10:30am that was the closest I got that day I finished filling the form, it took me about 2 hours to submit because I had a really bulky statement and I didn’t put some docs on A4 but the lady there helped me with the photocopies
I got an email on Friday to pick up and I picked up same day with visa issued.
I applied with my mum my mom has been refused 4 times In the past and and this is her second time of getting her Uk visa , so never relent.

Thou nobody responded to my previous message.
Today I visited the TLS to pick up passport for my children, thank God it was positive.
2 years granted to both them.
Thank God and thank everyone.
But most importantly; this people send wrong emails to us,we should only cliff to God and work on advise from the experts here.
Why are you worrying yourself since the application is ready for pick up? Nothing anyone will tell you here on this forum that will change there decision. Go and pick up the passport. Wish you best of luck.

1. I will suggest you print all your original documents in colours as in colour looks more attractive and mature on like just white copy.

2. No you can't, I made the same mistake on my application form, but I corrected it on the print out.

if the mistake Is much or you feel you have entered wrong information, you can cancel your application 5 days to your appointment and you will get a refund and submit a new application.

3. you don't pay at ikeja vac, I haven't been there already but I learnt you don't pay at ikeja vac on these forum and from friends who have use the vac.

4. it depends on the visa you are applying for. If I were you and I am applying for 6 months tourist visa then I will have to submit 6months utility bills.
if you can make colour copies its OK.

no need for passport photograph, it will be taken there. the first time I was at tls Ikeja, those business guys tricked me to make passport photograph, I later discovered that there was no need for it. thanks

Actually what he meant was that hope he has higher chances since he’s using the ikeja VAC and they don’t pay as much as the V.I vac, he’s thinking will it affect his chances , I intentionally didn’t answer the question because the extra money he’s paying in VI or intends to pay there is for TLS and not the consulate. The difference in fees doesn’t affect anything. Before the ikeja centre was the one paying extra 85 dollars or so before it shifted to V.I

So my husband wishes to make me happy by giving me the holiday treat to UK. He and my daughter won't follow me to UK because he has a project at hand & my daughter wants to stay with her Grandma in Uyo.

My question is: Will the UK embassy accept his company's statement of account since he's sponsoring me?
I will go with: marriage certificate, wedding pictures, husband & daughter will escort me to the interview.

Dear justwise, great job u r doing here. Got a second mail from UK Decision making team.Kind of confused here.Is this a sign of rejection or wat?

"Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre"

Hello house! Please this is urgent! I have never applied for a uk visa before , infact i just got my passport yesterday!
I got an invitation from my sister’s fience who is a citizen of uk to come and hdlp them arrange their marriage plans! He sent his account statment wich has about 6000 pounds and an invitation stating that he is is inviting me and will be responcible for my expensis. He also sent a copy of his passport. I am a web designer and run my own business! I have a minimum of 1million Naira in my own personal account statment! But i do not know the process required in getting a visa. I just know i will apply online! Please what are the documents i need to go with and ehat is the process like? And how long does it take to get the visa! Am stayimg for just one month! Please i just need a step by step guide and the documents am to go with!

Why not just sponsor yourself? You have enough funds in your account and this will give your application more credibility. Prepare your work documents, statement of account, your payslip, proof of accommodation in the UK, invitation letter ,proof of relationship with the person inviting you. Etc

No... It simply means your application may be delayed before it is returned cos they need to do some clarifications
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Youngpablo180: 1:18pm On Apr 30, 2018
Hello House....Has anyone gotten their passport after going to the British embassy in VI due to delay of processing their visa after waiting more than the 15 working days or even more ?

i am asking this as my application has been with UKVI since Nov 30th 2017,..i am honestly tired of waiting and after several attempt getting my passport back even to the extent of writing to their that email we get charged, i have written to this people 4 times already and each time i write to them, all i get is they say "wait for another 15 working days before contacting us again blah blah " i mean i have waited for more than 100 working days and nothing yet...

I don't just want to go to VI and the security men there won't listen to me or even allow me near the embassy

what is the best solution now, writing to them or calling them is of no use as the only thing they can say is "wait another 15 working days" and i get charged every time i write to them

and TLS Ikeja is not even helping matters as they kept saying my passport has not been returned to them

until i die before this people go return my passport abi lol undecided undecided cry cry

Is anyone in my in the same boat as me or has been in such situation before ? please share your experience how you got your passport back or what you've been able to do to get your passport back..make them even refuse me sef that one go better than to wait this long undecided see other people getting their visa, who send me go UK for heaven sake
