Please, who is this Jay? I would like to do some review with him. I wrote the first ielts with BC last July and I had LRWS-7.5,6.5,7,6. I've registered with MOD for June. Pls, help. I'm new here.

Jay is a man. Sorry he's a white man from Obodoyinbo.

Just kidding, he's one of the best hands on E2language. He's methods and ideas to tackle IELTS Writing and Reading are commendable. Just search for him on You tube. "IELTS with Jay"

Thanks. I've actually checked the date the result was released and saw 03/05/18. It really took 10 good weeks.

I wish you the best EOR feedback.

Bimsebony:

Aawwwhh! So sorry about the result.

BC is a joke. No contact whatsoever yet your result has been there. Only God know how long it's been there.

I guess I have to go there too. This is my 10th week since applying for EOR.

It's well

Hello people, i applied for my Transcript online to be sent directly to WES. Will it be accepted without the Wes transcript request form? Has anyone sent theirs like this?

Please download, fill and send back to your school so that it can be included in the transcript before sending to WES or else it wont be treated, if your school has sent your transcript to wes already, scan the form and fax to them via hellofax. all the best

I typed this question before, dont know if it disappeared. Please help urgently o biko.

My DH changed his mind about relocating however this might change again.; But his unwillingness to write IELTS and evaluate his certs will set me back with a good number of points, So my question is do I still go on and complete my EE profile and state him as unaccompanying and if at any point he changes his mind and does IELTS, I can update to say accompanying and include his details.

After all this story, My question really is can i update my profile from unaccompanying to accompanying when i receive ITA. cc @newmum0615 and @wholesomegrace because I feel you might have considered this at some point during your journey seeing you have a similar experience

Please provide urgent help biko.

2) When updating the profile, I noticed that when I wanted to select the country United Kingdom for education, the drop down did not show, anyone else experienced this and what should i do?
3) What will be my IELTS certificate number now, seeing that I only have online result as of now (already updating profile)

Then also, if age is good on your side and you max out IELTS, you might not need those 2 inputs ( ielts and WES) from him and still make him an accompanying spouse. What is your current crs score without your hubby's ielts and WES?. Mine did neither, but my extra saving grace was a sibling in Canada. Mine is accompanying, praying he changes his mind very soon

Got this using the CRS tool...

Your results
All Express Entry candidates get a score out of 1,200, based on the four parts of the Comprehensive Ranking System formula.

We invite the highest-ranking candidates from the pool to apply as a permanent resident through regular “rounds of invitations.” See what minimum scores have been in the past.

Core/Human capital factors
Age = 88
Level of education = 120
Study in Canada = undefined
Official Languages = 133
First Official Language = 133
Second Official Language = 0
Canadian work experience = 80
Subtotal - Core/Human capital factors = 421

Spouse factors
Level of education = 0
First Official Languages = 0
Canadian work experience = 0
Subtotal - Spouse factors = 0

Skill transferability factors
Education
A) Official Language proficiency and education = 25
B) Canadian work experience and education = 25
Subtotal = 50

Foreign work experience
A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 50
B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 50
Subtotal = 50

Certificate of qualification = 0

Subtotal Skill transferability factors = 100

Comprehensive Ranking System formula
Subtotal Core/Human capital + Spouse factors + Skill transferability = 521

Provincial nomination = 0

Job offer = 0

Study in Canada = 0

Sibling in Canada = 0

French-language skills = 0

Subtotal Additional points = 0

Grand total = 521

Do you have Canadian work experience and Canadian education?

If you dont, then deduct the points from 521 to give you your actual CRS score.

@experience, I actually was referring to wholesome grace; you are lucky o, these loving men in our lives.
@TRF, great thanks, Abeg what is the point in formulating something that I will get; we cant be starting this life on a fraudulent note naa, e never reach like that.

Yes, I know he will have to do medicals and POF already covers all of us which is why I am more upset because, we are already going to do everything as if you were accompanying so just write the exam abi? God dey

Yeah, that frustration is real. If it's possible to make him an accompanying spouse, do so and go all out to max out all required areas. At least you know you tried your best. Hopefully when the golden mail comes, he might be persuaded but be ready to foot the bills alone grin

IELTS today: LSRW - 8.5,7.5,9,7 and CRS is currently 439..If apply for EOR in writing which could take forever, it can only get me to 442 which can be enough sha, but abeg where I currently sit is 439 and I dont like that. I dont have anyone to claim sibling point from unfortunately.

Imagine sitting at 466 if he is unaccompanying....*frustrating sigh

Apply for that EOR now. Just try use all medium available to boost ur scores. Need to go now but will PM you

I honestly didn’t want to announce my PPR until COPR/VISA was ready but somehow, unknowingly, the mail I got yesterday announced itself.

Timeline:

WES: Feb 2017
3RD IELTS results rolled out on Jan 19, 2018 gave me the required boost to clinch ITA at 444. Went to BC Ikoyi office the next working day a Monday Jan 22 to pick up my TRF sharply and updated my profile same day. Got ITA two days later.
ITA: Jan 24 2018
Travel History: None o. Original greenhorn grin grin
Acknowledgement of Receipt: 06 March 2018
Medical Passed: 12 March 2018
Background Check: (NA1) (IP1), (NA2), (IP2) bla bla….. I wasn’t keeping track of the dates so I really don’t know how it moved
Additional Document Request: None
Passport Request (PPR): 3 May 2018

POF: Hubby’s PFA and mine, Treasury bill and cash at bank ie SOA.
Reference letter from former employer: Got reference from former employer(2nd employer acquired my 1st place of employment, so years spent in both places was stated)
Current place of employment doesn’t issue such letter for current serving employees so I prepared LOE to this effect. I wrote my job functions on a plain paper, notarized it and it was the lawyer that signed, attached supporting documents (ID card, Offer/promotion letter, pay slips, tax card, appraisals, call card).

Can’t give myself a pat on the back now it cos relocation requires planning, planning and planning. @newmum0615 ….. I am always looking out for your announcement anytime I’m on this tread. It will come very soon by His grace. Amen

Daz all

My personal sisterly...

God has done it!!! I told you it will end in praise!

Big congratulations!!

The Academic request form is optional (Only the University of Ibadan requires it). It's great to send along, but if you don't, it is not a deal breaker.
Some seniors here have done their ECA without including the form, and got the ECA. e.g. https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/323#65258380
Just ensure that you put your WES ref number as the first line of the address. That is all that is required of you.
You can read all this on the WES website so no one confuses you. it is clearly stated there that the form is optional.

Thanks Flaj

1) I thought so too, if however my CRS after he becomes accompanying with the relevant details would still have gotten me into the pool, would that still come off as being fraudulent?
2) Thanks
3) What is TRF number and how do I get it?

3) Test report form .... The number is stated on your "paper results"; with BC anyway... Dunno if IDP puts theirs online.

Well...things have calmed down a bit now!

I thank God for the downpour of PPR rain today.

I thank God for the IELTS scores which are potential ITA clinchers at the next draw.

I thank God for all those still needing that critical 0.5 point because they'll get it at the next attempt and clinch their own ITAs too.

IN ANOTHER NEWS...

I thank God for another round of praises!

1st attempt (British Council)Sept 2017:
L- 7.5, R- 8, W-7, S-7.5

I went the PNP route and when I saw my personal sisterly @wholesomegrace port from PNP back to mainstream, I got encouraged that I can do it!

2nd attempt (British Council)April 2018:
Listening- 8

Reading- 8.5

Writing- 7

Speaking- 7

With this, our CRS stands at 441

To think that I have MOD speaking test slated for this Sunday and the LSW leg for 12th May, because when I reviewed my BC's Listening, I concluded that I got 6 questions wrong (and that's automatic 7.5) and thereby bungled the most desired "8 points".
So I immediately paid for another test with MOD grin

I am still going to write it and give my 68k a mad run for its value. Pray for me! (I shall be back)

I want to thank God and a lot of people here, cant mention everybody: @cochtrane & @GlitteringStar, my good friends, thank you for coming through all the time (will still need all of your inputs post-ITA grin)

@Wholesomegrace, I promised to come mainstream and God did it. Thanks for the encouragement.

@Newmum0615, you are just too much, your score and that of Oga was a great motivator, I thank you both grin

@CanadianFly, authentic sisterly of life, thank you for dousing the tension in the house always. grin

Like I said some days ago, watch this space:

It will surely all end in praise IJN! Let's keep keeping strong!

Congratulations to all who aced their IELTS result. For those who killed it at first attempt, you don't really know what God has done for you. Appreciate and thank him wella.

On my EOR (3rd attempt), just got a feedback and my LW were not increased. However, my S was inched up to 7.5 from 7. All is well.

No retreat, no surrender.

Teecann, congratulations. What made you decide PNP in the first place? Because you got 7.5 in Listening the first time? Haba. The time you wasted waiting on SINP. People please know that not conquering IELTS is not reason enough to go PNP route. PNP is expensive coupled with a bag of patience and hbp of getting in before portal closes.
My advice? If IELTS is becoming a problem for you....take a breather and like I have always said find out what you're doing wrong and device a strategy for beating it.
Congrats to everyone that got their desired score.
