If you're just coming across this POV it means you've not properly done your research on express entry.

That is what I was about typing here. It's obvious that he has not done his research well. Like @Canadianfly mentioned earlier, this issue was dealt with last year on the living in canada thread, first hand experience not just someone POV being generalised. Part of the response to the same tweets., a guy mentioned that his friend landed in February and got a job with a big bank in march/ April.
I saw a lady's tweet yesterday where she mentioned that it will take her 3-4yrs to get her professional license to practice but she is working in a Home Depot as a shelve stockist for now. According to her tweet, she is living a more better life with her current job than when she was a professional in Nigeria.
I encourage people to read more, be ready to face the challenges over there and not to just fold your arms thinking everything is automatic for ilu Oyinbo when u get there.

Yes I'm a bro. grin

Now to respond to you, I am not worked up about it. You're obviously a newbie to think that you're the first person to bring up this topic. It's a dead horse that has been flogged over and over again. On different parts of this thread and the Living in Canada thread. Hence it being redundant. Nothing you posted or she said on twitter has not been said on here before. All I'm asking is you carry the spam somewhere else. You're crowding up the place with information that won't help anyone on here. The purpose of the thread is different from your topic.

Canadianfly is this really your post?

Bro calm down I posted the screenshots simply for awareness and it's also open for discussion.i don't get why you 're so worked up about it

I hope you are aware that CIC sometimes requests for documents about your employer's history, tax clearance, payroll etc to verify your employer. If it happens, they'll find out you employed yourself and that will be more trouble.

Wow!! I didn't know this. Thanks a lot.

I read that lady's response on Saturday. Even with her degree and practice in Optometry, she says she will rather live her life stocking shelves and living a normal life than what she was used to in Nigeria. I like as she tackled the poster. Truth is, nobody can really convince anybody to take a life changing decision such as relocating to Canada. The ultimate decision still lies with you. @ghuzy01 there is nothing you can really post on here that can deter anybody from taking this path. No be today. Nigeria doesn't leave us with much of a hope. You for just paste link of the tweet, not all those plenty screenshots. grin

I share her sentiments. At the end of the day, whether it's doctor or cleaner, it's all about putting food on the table. But bottom line, each to their own. Good morning my people

Hi guys,

Just to share the information I got today. I was @ VFS Lekki to submit my Passport, the man @ the submission desk explained to me that my passport will be sent to ACCRA, and I will have to pay #14,350 for each passports attached to my application.

I explained to him the PPR mail I got and how I assumed my Passport will be treated by the Lagos Visa Office. He then explained that the change only meant that passports can’t be sent to ACCRA directly through DHL anymore. Everybody will have to go through VFS.

Toh……they accept cash only@VFS

Cheers!

Please, I will PM you. Thanks

Congratulations!

A quick one please, did your offer/promotion letter contain your Job duties? Also did you submit proof of your attempts to obtain a reference letter?
Thanks

My offer/promo letter only contained my Job Title. I didn't submit any proof of failed attempts to obtain the reference letter. If you have that, you can add it alongside your LOE and other supporting docs.

I love how everyone just shut down the tweets by the Twitter "intellectual". People here are smart ,this process takes time and effort and no one is taking upending their lives lightly.

I'll much rather see encouraging posts and how to get the certifications i need to get my foot in the door not ones telling me i should be ruled by fear . Fear is what got be stuck in Nigeria in the first place .

Congratulations to you. Please I'd like to know if the Statement of Account of RSA was what you used or you requested for a letter from the PFA in addition

I used statement and letter from both RSA's.

While my hubby got the letter in a preferred format, stating he could have 25% access to his funds after 4 months of unemployment, my RSA refused to state this but went ahead and issued me an introduction letter and that was what I used.

I was in NewYork for 5 months plaiting people’s hair for money for food and living on my cousin’s couch with her very irritating mother. I couldn’t even afford winter jacket when the season started.

I am currently working in an international law firm, earning over 200k with a house and car to myself in Lagos.

I’d trade everything I have to be back in New York. As we’ve all said to this newbie, this thread is for people who’ve done their research and have decided that Nigeria is not where their future is. You are just wasting space because you cannot change any of our minds.
