I agree, except that this isn't mental slavery from colonialism but rather a wilful and obstinate self-imposed and self-sustained slavery to ignorance. These guys have multiple bibles in their homes and workplaces, even give some as gifts to strangers but still remain as ignorant as an illiterate herdsman.

I would prefer you read and understand it for yourself and ask for inspiration from God as you read it.

If you want to argue Bible verses and God's word, you know the set of people that will be happy to indulge you.

I made a point. However, I try to avoid going back and forth about such matters. So if you believe in tithing, continue giving it. And if you don't, continue not giving it too.
