2,131 or 1,131?

Is the OP confused?

Did the LASG Health Commissioner give the correct number of the pregnant women infected?

Which LGA of Lagos State did these women originally come from? Just because they put Ikorodu, Epe and Isolo does not mean that the women came from there.

One thing I know about the process to obtain these grants is that most organizations or governments provide these numbers [one way or the other] to justify to the donor individual or organization why they need the grant money [free unaccounted-for money].

The numbers are more, this 1 is just small, Health practitioners are just tired to talk about it because of poor management. Imagine monies meant for HIV/AIDS patients being embezzled year to year. The thing is this, Severe poverty over a long period of time is a strong attractive force to every bad thing on earth.

I hope they can access treatment to prevent MTCT.
The problem is it's always sweeter without condom.

Which one is safe sex again, after a spouse got it from somewhere into your matrimonial bed. Can you even dare tell your husband to use protection?

I wonder why some people don't like condom. Always have your condom at home even if you won't use it.

38,791 pregnant women were tested for HIV, out of which 1,131 of them tested positive in the last one year.

Also, at least 38,791 pregnant women know their HIV status out of which about 2,131 (HIV positive pregnant women)

So which is it?...these people throwing out figures and others just swallowing. Saying two different things at a press conference and no one questioning...just spreading it same way.
With such funding one would expect educating the masses would be a priority. The women are tested and given treatment..... while their partners who most likely are also HIV positive are allowed to roam free spreading the virus to others....and we are left wondering why HIV is so widespread.

Truth is, Nigerians do not use condoms. I recall the look I got from a deranged woman in a Lagos store when I asked for varieties of condoms so that I could choose the best one, the woman (an SU) looked at me like a hell-bound reprobate infidel. Even as a full-blown adult, I felt insulted and embarrassed, now imagine what our teenagers go through. We are arguably the world's most hypocritical nation, that's why we thronged churches on Sundays and spread HIV during the week. #Condomise
Whenever u go get condom some idiots do think u want to Bleep an Olosho or a girlfriend u didn't trust or love deeply.....

You say wetin? I thought HIV has been eradicated?

Anyway, as a Vaseline Crew Alumni, this does not concern us as vaseline cannot cheat nor infect us.

My people are safe. grin

Abstinence is the best option especially for men. All those guys paying for short time that their condom broke would be shaking. But what about the cheating girlfriend that fxcked someone cuz of cash. Well God help us.
