2,131 or 1,131? Is the OP confused? Did the LASG Health Commissioner give the correct number of the pregnant women infected? Which LGA of Lagos State did these women originally come from? Just because they put Ikorodu, Epe and Isolo does not mean that the women came from there. One thing I know about the process to obtain these grants is that most organizations or governments provide these numbers [one way or the other] to justify to the donor individual or organization why they need the grant money [free unaccounted-for money]. 1 Like |

The numbers are more, this 1 is just small, Health practitioners are just tired to talk about it because of poor management. Imagine monies meant for HIV/AIDS patients being embezzled year to year. The thing is this, Severe poverty over a long period of time is a strong attractive force to every bad thing on earth. |

I wonder why some people don't like condom. Always have your condom at home even if you won't use it. |

axcer: So which is it?...these people throwing out figures and others just swallowing. Saying two different things at a press conference and no one questioning...just spreading it same way. With such funding one would expect educating the masses would be a priority. The women are tested and given treatment..... while their partners who most likely are also HIV positive are allowed to roam free spreading the virus to others....and we are left wondering why HIV is so widespread. |
