Many thanks bro.

TEECANN:

1. Yes. As a matter of fact, your GCKEY credentials is your "key" to logging into many Canadian government online services. So it's not for immigration application use alone. You will also need it when you want to track your PR card for collection in Canada.

2. No idea. But honestly, if you ask me, I'd say it's not so necessary. Job Bank creation has become optional.

3. Not necessary. Refer to No. 2 above.

Any contrary opinion is welcomed.

It will all end in praise IJN

Oh Nigerian youths. Please think, think again before you leave for that canada whether it's really worth it or not. The opportunity you are looking for is right here, but which millions of Nigerians are too blind to see. Abuse me if you like but you won't say I didn't tell you. If I were Nigerian youths, especially the professionals, I would research into what makes a chinese guy or an indian man come to our own country with a shirt and a pair of trousers but by the time he's going back, he's a rich man. He still uses your brain to make his millions, amazing lol. Please ejowo, bikonu, du alah, think twice

Please why did you choose this thread to write this CRAP. I want to believe na miss road carry you enter here. Am definitely sure you as an individual haven’t ventured into the supposed opportunities you claim are available. I would together with the wonderful people here go to Canada restart what I couldn’t finish here( Nigeria) and succeed, then s you will know it’s the Nigerian system not the youths that are the problem. PLEASE IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY REASONABLE THING TO WRITE, DESIST FROM COMMENTING HERE. Ose gan!

Have you heard of the young ugwu and lettuce farmer in benue who rakes in millions of naira every month? what of Ngozi who studied law but turned fashion entrepreneur now known all over the world? I remember the guy who made michelle obama dresses when her husband was president. what of Adepeju Jaiyeoba, etc? Instead of going to work at the laundary company out there, why not open one in Nigeria and be your own boss? laundromat and garmentcare quickly rushed back home to set up their laundary companies and they are well known nationwide today. They even employ graduates with good degrees, lol. They wash the oil and gas facilities, apart from washing clothes. I can see your mind is made up . But you'll thank me later, if only you could look around for opportunities and grab one. Go and read about Ford Motors owner, tommy hilfiger, pierre cardin, Honda, Toyota. Had they followed your line of thought, you would not have heard of them today. They failed many times but believed in themselves. What of wright brothers? that plane you wan enter go canada for no dey today, thanks to them. Do you know you can make cool money by selling latex(condoms) to hospitals? Keep the advise to yourself bro. I know you have been there several times. You don't even know if I have been there several times too? Your experience is different from mine. Don't ever condemn what others are doing because you think you know it all. We have our different circumstances and experiences so don't force yours on others. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW YOU GOT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE SINCE YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN LEAVING NIGERIA.

Please stop misleading people here. There's desktop computer and one can also simply call it desktop. The two are equally correct.

In fact, using only "desktop" can be ambiguous. The ambiguity lies in the fact that a desktop can mean "the main graphical user interface of an operating system usually displaying icons, windows and wallpaper".

Good afternoon everyone.

Have you visited page zero of this thread and followed all the links?

Improve your ielts to band 9 or 8.5. Did you do any diploma those days of JAMB frustration? If yes, evaluate it. If no, get a second certificate such as NOUN PGD or ACCA foundation certificate (don't know much but it has been exhaustively discussed on this thread). With band 9 and two or more certs you'll be around crs 430. This score will possibly drop by five points on your next birthday.

Now let's think outside the box. Do you or your husband have any sibling who has head and is younger than 30 years? Sell this canada idea to them and assist their migration as much as you can (both financially and morally). When they get their PR status, then you get extra 15 points and enter the 440s where ITA is more certain.

It's a long term plan but if you can immediately and simultaneously kick-start a sibling's journey alongside your second certificate quest, by this time next year you should have your ITA in hand and your COPR latest December 2019. This is in my opinion your cheapest bet, and most beneficial in the long run.

Another option is PNP which can give you 600 points. You can visit the nairaland PNP thread.

Then again, Australia's migration process is less age discriminatory than canada's so visit the Australia skilled worker thread to reconsider that option.

Lol in this time and age? Mehn that is one expensive extra 15 points oh. If it was like 80 points, yea...but 15? Nahhh

Also there's no saying the draws will be at 440s. With the way folks fly into the pool on a daily. Indians especially, cut off might just go up again. And the wait time to help the sibling reach Canada, haba. PNP would be better. The other options are good though.

You're getting it all wrong. I never said you shouldn't go if you want. 20 years from now, we'd both look back and see who actually deserves to visit yaba left. The bible says the kingdom of heaven is like foolishness ( foolish talk) onto them that perish. There's no amount of words I'd say to convince peeps peeps like you. Going out there to further studies or tap into opportunities isn't a bad idea but staying put and wasting one's productive years, chasing the job opportunity that would never come .You're mixing it. Only one per cent of those who leave for the west does come back and once they take the bold step to return, their lives become better. My mission wasn't to relocate as immigrant as most of you peeps do. I came back You know what? Anytime I'm in that country, I'm seen like a king because dem no fit do some kain tins Wey I dey do. 10 dollar, dem no go fit spare. I dey dash dem moni. Had D1 and Kenny Ogungbe stayed put after their master's degree, they'd have become Grandpa for nothing by now. Their return brought a revolution to the music industry all over Africa. Their music company ranks among the best globally. If your going's to bring back opportunities ( which many hardly do) then youre the smartest of all. Talking about the yeye government or depending on them is where you're getting it all wrong. Wetin. Konsain me konsain govt? They need me to collect my tax, I don't need them. I hope they get it right someday and the bad leadership won't be there anymore. Go to American or even Canadian history. Their govt was once like ours. Have you read about French revolution where the poor turned back and attacked the rich? It would happen here too soon. .good luck

As a professional nurse my reason for not wanting to practice in Nigeria was because of the "nollywood nurse" ; the nurse that won't take a patient's vital signs and be shouting DOCTOROOOOO...LOL. I want to practice in a society that appreciates the struggles I had to go through to complete my training. Being in Canada and starting almost afresh in my career is totally worth it.
In the meantime even If I am earning slightly above the minimum wage, I have a car, i can pay my rent and ultilities and I pay my tuition without any assistance(in less than a year of landing).
It is good to manage ur expectations while immigrating to canada but it is also true that when u start from somewhere and work towards your dreams u will get there.
If it were really that bad why have those your uncles, aunties and friends who are discouraging you, why have they not gone back to Nigeria.
This is a thread for those who are ready to sacrifice their short term pride and comfort for the long term stability for themselves and their generations. I want to birth Canada's president and I know it is possible because the society won't pull me down because I wasn't born here.
