Hey Fam, please help out. I've just been invited to Accra for interview to verify my employment details. Asked to come with employment letter, payslips and account statement showing salary inflows. Who has been invited previously? What was the experience like? Will these documents be retained for verification? What do I expect? Please help a sister.
this is my opinion and from what have read....nothing to worry about...just go with those documents and even your passports as well cos you about to clinch your PR....check @toyogirl handle from page 0 she was invited for interview too.....all the best....

Really sad, I missed this draw. My EE profile was set up today. I had a score of 444 but couldn't make the draw. Just realised that details get updated 24 hours after submission.

First of all, congrats because you are almost there.
Did you not include these things in the first place?
Though I have not been in your shoes but I advise you to go with the following items:

1. Payslips
2. copy of ID card
3. Excel document showing net pay on the payslip reconciled to date remittance was made in your salary account .
4. Company registration document and tax clearance if you can get it.
5. Pension statement showing contribution made in payslip
6. If your company is a contractor, also go with a copy of the purchase order or contract from customers.
7. If possible, also obtain letter of introduction from your employer.
8. Your HMO ID card which should show your employer's name

With these documents (or most of them), you should be able to prove your employment beyond doubt.

Good luck.

Thanks to everyone who have reached out to me since morning on this much anticipated draw of today.

Great, it is out @ 441

But not yet uhuru for your guy...I am feeling firsthand what is it that people who miss ITA feel- to have almost clinch something and it slipped away, just like that!

I got denied with the TIE BREAKING RULE- profiles of December 12, 2017 and older, scaled through.

To think that my profile of October 22, 2017 got ineligible days ago is painful. I just created a new profile after that incident on May 1, 2018 and thereby couldn't clinch ITA with a 441.

I NEED ADVICE, PLS HELP STRATEGIZE WITH ME:

1. My IELTS is LRWS- 8, 8.5, 7, 7 (I know I did enough to get a 7.5 at least in the speaking- I'll leave writing for BC- Is it wise to order for EOR considering that it will take 10 weeks to come and four (4) ITAs would have been declared within that space of time- what if the CRS cutoff drops and I'm still awaiting my remark scores? (NB: a 7.5 in speaking will boost me to 444)

2. I have MOD slated for Saturday- 12th May- my speaking test was ok and I hope that my LWR will be fine too. The MOD result should be out by Friday, 25th May. Should I wait for MOD result to be out (to see whether I can use it to boost CRS) before ordering a BC's EOR (if at all, it will be advisable to go that route)

3. Should I just wait with my 441 in the pool and watch trends for 2 months (4 ITA draws) to see whether the cut-off will drop to below 440 range?

NB: I dont know whether anyone is monitoring the trend which is fast becoming interesting. I have been following express entry since late 2016 and over the period through 2017, I have noticed that information about Express Entry- that started in 2015- is fast becoming more and more popular amongst young workers (age advantage), highly educated (with masters) and wicked IELTS scores at the first attempt, both in Nigeria and worldwide, who are constantly diving into the pool with wickedly high CRS and with better understanding of what opportunities awaits them in Canada against the zero chances that they have at home.

The implication of this is that the CRS cutoff will increasingly become difficult to drop (as I suspect that the cutoff is being determined by graphing) unlike 2017 when the popularity of EE wasn't so a household thing as it is now (I may be wrong though)

Virtually every young and not so young professional and office worker in most offices in Nigeria have heard about the EE process, check out the crowd on IELTS test days, then you will understand what I'm saying. grin

Please help proffer a likely way forward to my scenario!

It will all end in praise IJN!

Please, how did you create another profile cos mine also got ineligible in DEC. Did you use the old one? Please, how did u go about it?

Mahn, I'm just praying this express entry thing will continue for the next 3-4 years.

I'll be travelling to Canada to begin a 2-year master's degree this year. Then hopefully apply for the Express Entry via Canadian Experience Class when I get 1 year work experience.

Hello house, please I need help with deciding om the right NOC for my job description.I have gone through the site a n umber of times but can't seem to find the right match. I worked as a "Contract Administrator" in the telecommunications sector for almost 4 years until end of last year. I covered PH region (comprising 5 states) and reported to the Contract Manager in Lagos. There were other contract administrators covering other parts of the country. My job description was as follows;

• Ensure effective implementation and closure of maintenance contract according to set SLA with the Customer (MTN) and 3PP (Maintenance Vendors).
• Drive the Exclusion Process between the Customer and company with a view of getting sign offs for Reduced Penalties (One of my KPIs was to reduce penalty for PH region from the customer. This translates to money).
• Ensure Purchase order release and Closure with 3PP (I signed off invoices for work done by our vendors in the region and made sure they got their POs to process payment with our office in Lagos).
• Monitor vendor performance against SLA and prepare Performance Report.
• Support commercial negotiations.
• Track work completion per maintenance vendor according to SLA.
Track and report daily site maintenance by the Field engineers and ensure all planned jobs for the month is 100% complete.
• Ensure scope compliance.
• Support pre-sales activities
• Customer support within the region

I would really appreciate any assistance with finding the right job code. Thanks!

Hello House,

So glad to come across this page.

Is there any one in the house that is applying or has applied for the Canadian Express entry and has lived in the US before so has to get the FBI criminal police report?

Damn! The US can delay for the world, geez, 14-16 weeks... It’s going to almost a year because they rejected my finger prints before that it was not professional enough and can’t pick up.

Had to do another one professionally here in the UK and submit, hopefully this May would hear some feedback but damn the US wasting too much time.

Please anyone with the same experience?

Blessed are they whose POF is in just one place. You shall not roam around Lagos anyhow cry

Thats how I thought it would be a quick dash in and out of bank and MMF and pension office oh. Feeling like I could walk in and walk out with what I need. I was soooo wrong.

So as information for others...... Stanbic Pension would process your request for statement and ref letter in 24hrs (you won't pay anything but you would have to give them a letter of instruction/request).... See Pg 0 for format
Stanbic MMF would process in 48hrs and you'd need to pay N2,625 to their account and send them evidence of payment + address you want the ref addressed to and other details).... they do not require a request/instruction letter.
ARM MMF would process in 24hrs and you'd need to pay N2,000 to their account and send them evidence of payment + address you want the ref addressed to and other details).... they also do not require a request/instruction letter.
GTBank would give you your statement there and then but will not give you a tailored reference letter. The generic one they have is N525. You can decide to add a "letter of non-indebtedness" and "signature confirmation letter" and each is also N525..... though I didn't see the need for it.

The GT lady however mentioned that if you want a tailored ref letter, then you contact your account officer (you can get those details when you log in to your internet banking profile)... your account officer would then be the one to obtain approval and prepare a tailored letter for you if they choose..... Sample tailored letter is also on Pg 0.

CONGRATULATIONS to those that obtained ITA.... may your documents gathering process be a smooth one

CRS cutoff for this draw is 441

If your CRS is above 441 = ITA

IF your CRS is 441:
Created profile on or before December 12, 2017 = ITA
Created profile after December 12, 2017 = NO ITA
