Oga, that was what people said of Fayose in 2014 that if he emerges candidate he won't win the election. He emerged PDP candidate and won the election against all permutations.

The strength of Oni will be tested at the primary irrespective of the outcome. If he could snatch 40% of the votes, then he stand a chance of spoiling things for Fayemi but if he should lose in a woeful manner, it means Fayemi men are the people on ground. Also, consider the fact that election in Nigeria is being monetised + the determination of Fayemi using federal resources/might, my brother, writing him off will be a mistake irrespective of sentiment.

I don't like Fayemi, I want ELEKA to win but I will always advice my party never to underrate the candidate of the APC or Adeyeye in this contest.

May Victory smile on Eleka and PDP... TeamContinuity
The more I read your comments on this forum, the more nauseated I become. First and foremost, for a political jobber like you to be sounding like one stakeholder is very nauseating. 'I'll campaign for Olusola Eleka' 'I'll advise my party not to underrate Fayemi'. Who are you please? An ordinary protection seeker who jumped from APC to PDP then to PDM and returned to his vomit (PDP).

Bros, you're the least qualified human being to contribute to public issues because you do not only lack ideology but you're also unstable. And funny enough, you don't seem to know your limit as an ordinary As* licker. It's scumbags like you Fela tagged 'Suwegbe'. Ordinary protection seeker wey dey do like 'stakeholder'. Lolz.

Go and get a life o! Hopping from one Politician to another seeking 'protection' isn't a life!

undecided
TonyeBarcanista:
But the truth is that Oni can't defeat Fayemi in APC. The party structure and resources is with him...

However, I think Ekiti will be a Serious battle... I see three possibilities should Fayemi emerge...

1. A repeat of Ondo 2007 where aggrieved PDP members teamed up with opposition to elect Mimiko of Labour Party. In this case, the beneficiary MAY be Dayo Adeyeye. The 700+ votes that Adeyeye got in the primary was shocking. It showed that about 40-45% of political leaders in PDP are aggrieved and sympathetic to Adeyeye in protest (not because they love him).

2. Fayose could establish his political superiority in Ekiti state by returning Olusola Eleka to power but this will be very tough should Adeyeye contest.

3. Adeyeye could be the spoiler for PDP to benefit Fayemi, similar to what Opeyemi Bamidele did to Fayemi in 2014. That is IF Oni and co agreed to work for Fayemi.

As per my sentiment, I wish for the Success of Eleka in the forthcoming poll due to obvious reasons and I'll campaign for him...

However, I wish Ekiti success

Oni lost to due to some political and judiciary corruption that lead to the disgraceful dismissal of Justice Ayo Salami. After the real election, Fayemi went to court to challenge the outcome of the election alleging rigging in some parts of the states which he claimed was support of Segun Oni. Court ordered for rerun in some selected towns and villages including the whole of Ido/Osi local government which Oni hailed from...... You know what happened after? So calculated violence lead to the burning of INEC office where the coalition of the results is to be announced and ballot was counted under police protection in the LG Area Divisional Police Headquarters which was unlawful even though it was the only option left.

The court cancelled the whole of Oni LG votes due to that and by a split decision of 2 vs 3judges Fayemi was declared winner by the number of the remaining lawful votes. It was alleged that Fayemi camp set the INEC office ablaze to create a situation where votes from the rerun will not be added to the lawful votes on ground. Oni swallowed the bitter pill but bowed out.

Oni is one of the only few politicians that is not more corrupt than an average Nigerian.... Let me share what someone wrote about him.........

......
From prof. Abiodun Ojo
Provost college of sciences, Afe Babalola University.

Edo and Ondo were regressions away from the mean: Elections were neither free nor fair.

We are talking about a Deputy Governor who should be no slouch having navigated terrains together with Fayose.

The election is Prof Eleka's to lose. Fayose has no job other than delivering this election or else his political fortunes will come tumbling.

He will make it count...
From 2003 till 2014,ekiti guber polls has always been heavily influenced by federal might including that of fayose.this next poll wont be different.i still ask why fayose contested senate seat in 2011 under labour party lost woefully but won heavily under pdp.

FAYOSE won due to massive rigging using the military under good luck Jonathan supervision. Now GEJ is not in power any longer, so let's see fayo Oshi popularity .
