after the olympic rohr called up imoh ezekiel, sadia umar, shehu abdullahi and etebo for the dead rubber afcon qualifiers agaisnt tanzania which was rohr first match in charge but it seem imoh and sadiq didn't impress him during training while shehu and etebo made the match day squad

andrew444:

Please remind me when Imo Ezekiel was called up by rohr and the game he played ?

Imoh Ezekiel has 1 cap for naija and its 2014 comming as a 2nd half sub for victor moses in a friendly against Mexico,so tell me when did rohr call him up because Keshi was the coach then.

I guess rohr has not seen Paul onachu in Denmark because that guy has not been bad and I am not saying he should be invited I am just making an example

Paul onuachu was on the verge of getting a call up before he got injured which kept him out for a long time. rohr monitors his progress and even advised him some time ago to push for a move away from the danish league. rohr has a strong scouting network which gives him report of the exploits of Nigerian players both home and European groomed. he is not like our lazy indigenous coaches who only monitor our players through complete sports newspaper and news gotten from the internet cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy. i remember few years ago a certain Nigerian player was making in his club in Europe but was yet to get an invite to the super eagles, this got tongues wagging and when the then national team coach was interviewed on why the lad have been ignored the gaffer's response was if the boy is ready to play for Nigeria that he should place a call to him grin grin grin grin grin grin

which sane coach will not inquire of a player who still manage to score 4 goals in a competitive match despite all the circumstances the team went through and the jet lag....

starting from his fight with adebayo...he sold himself into corruption.

Aluko’s Performance For Reading In 2017/18 Season Rated Poor

Nigeria forward Sone Aluko’s overall performace for Reading in the just concluded English Championship season has been rated lowly by a Reading-based news medium, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The ratings which was done by a popular local weekly newspaper, Reading Chronicle, was an assessment of how Reading key players performed in the course of the season with each player scored out of 10.

And according to Reading Chronicle, Aluko, 29, rated four.

Commenting on Aluko’s performance, the publication wrote: “A shadow of the player who played against Reading for Fulham last season.

“Too many games seemed to pass him by. One stand-out moment with his solo goal against QPR and a good performance away at Derby County, but Aluko hasn’t justified his club-record price tag.”

Aluko joined Reading in August 2017 from Fulham and made 39 league appearances scoring just three goals.

Reading escaped relegation to League One as they ended the season 20th on 44 points, three points above the drop zone in the 24-team final league table.

sentiment don make you no dey even reason well or judge things the right way. ideye having an issue with his agent is a personal business and has nothing to do with him being included in the team or not. fifa is there to address issues like this without hesitation. if the agent felt cheated why didn't he summon ideye to fifa or are we not sure keshi wasn't among those who brokered the deal for ideye? hahahahahahahahahaha or he was expecting brown to give some part of the money in order to buy his place to the world cup? oga please call a spade a spade. NONSENSE!

Mickael2:

you see you do not even know the full story and here you are saying rubbish.

Ideye moved to a new club sometime between 2013 and 2014, somehow he didn't pay his agent his own share of the transfer fee(selfishness). Then when it was time to release the list, the agent contacted Keshi and pointed out what happened, after which Keshi told Ideye to pay up his agent or lose his spot, Ideye didn't pay his agent what he was rightly owing him and he lost his spot, to me that is absolutely fair and balanced. If you have a football competition or quiz competition when I was in the university, if you do not pay your school fees you are out, no matter how good you are and that was what Keshi did, blame here should go to Ideye

Keshi did that a few times. He said the same thing when asked about Abiola Dauda and said Dauda can go play for Serbia if he wants.
I found it hilarious no lie...

his own corruption was too obvious coupled with ego and his bossy attitude. winning the afcon blinded so many Nigerians from knowing the real keshi. he held our football captive for almost 4 years, doing what ever pleased him with the team and felt untouchable. it even got to an extend when he felt he was doing the nation a favor coaching the team whereas boasting of so many offers in his table waiting for him hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. when he got sacked eventually he remained jobless until he met his untimely death.may his soul continue to rest in peace!

NPFL Hotshot Lokosa Excluded From World Cup Provisional Squad, Set For Montpellier Trials
By Richard Jideaka, Abuja

Nigerian Professional Football League leading goal scorer Junior Lokosa has been excluded from the Super Eagles 35-man World Cup list, CCompletesportsnigeria.com reports.

CSN findings revealed that the Nigeria Football Federation has completed the documentations of the players who are heading to the World Cup camp of the Super Eagles in Austria and Lokosa is not included.

“Nobody as at today has forwarded Lokosa’s name for invitation for the World Cup, so I don’t know how he will make the team,” a high-level source told CSN on Friday.

“I doubt if he is being considered for the Super Eagles team at all. We have applied for visas for Austria and as you can see, he is not among those going for interview today.”

Meanwhile, the Kano Pillars striker, who has scored 16 goals in the first half of the NPFL season, is expected to jet out on trials with Montpellier in France next week.

Musa was getting super eagles call up even after he was totally demoted to the Leicester reserve... And Etebo is now at Las Palmas (on loan though)
His form prior to the March friendlies could have earned him a start ahead of Ogu and Joel if not for the injury..

Musa is an old timer with almost 70 caps but I am happy he went on loan and played well, musa is not even a starter, there was a time mikel obi was not even making conte bench but was always call up.

Most national teams take bench warmer to tournament, eidur gudjohnsen went to last euros for Iceland and he is a bench warmer

The best formation for us going to the world Cup is the one we played against Argentina. We could rule the world with that formation. We struggled against Poland and Serbia when Rohr deployed our usual 4-3-3. Rohr should repeat the formation he used against the Argies against England and Czech. I so much believe in that tactics because it is ideal for a not-too-good team like Nigeria
