If this is the only problem you have with your phone, then I say you don't have any problem. Just download any good music players of your preference to play your music . There are thousands of them. Many of them free.

Correct, Hotspot share wifi internet, I can now share my office internet to my laptop and other devices, since we are restricted to 1 Device per head. grin

Check if your music player has permission to access your storage

The phone is almost as expensive as Nokia 7 Plus sha. Xiaomi should release a phone with SD660 and 4000mAh already.

Make sure all the folders where you store your music is selected.

Oops. I didn't see it that way. I just believe there are better music players than mi player than to be stressing over it. But I realise he has his reasons for wanting mi player to work and I have suggested what could be a solution. Apologies for my invalidation of another man's problems.
