how far guys. Pls o I'm using an android phone with OS 5.0 (infinix note 2). I started taxify in abuja today... I took two night trips... one from wuye to lugbe and the other, lugbe to gwarinpa. And I was charged 800 for each one.
I'm wondering If that is the correct price, or if my phone is giving me wrong pricing because of a lower OS.. cos taxify says OS 6.0.. and that a lower OS can affect the pricing.
pls someone with experience in abuja route should guide me.
Tnx
use Google Map to estimate the distance you can cover in each trip, then check time taken to get to the location. Then use local rate that applies in your region to calculate. For instance Lagos rate is 300 base fare+65/km+9/min. Use the Abuja rate

It would be the best if all partners receive the rental fees for their cars upfront so that we can all be on the same page and also to avoid stories that touch the heart.

Also it would help newbies a lot to determine if this business is for them.

Any so called fleet management companies should be able to pay upfront also since they are companies.

What are thoughts and opinions on these?

Hello Great Drivers, this is still available:

A Camry 2005 is ready to hit the road. If you're a great driver and can meet the following requirements, drop your number.

1) Experienced Uber Driver
2) Rental agreement, to deliver twice a week (Tuesdays and Friday)
3) 2 Guarantors
4) Have a safe place to park the car
5) Shared car maintenance
Tell me how much you can deliver without sleeping on the steering, without overworking yourself to death

Cheers.

Partners look for experienced drivers because they know they would be able to pay the money. As a new driver, you are not even sure if you would be able to handle the business.
lol...,mbok the already experienced drivers Abeg na for moon una go gather experience ni...

My Opinions:

Handle all your car repairs and preventive maintenance using your trusted mechanic. You will hardly - not Impossible to - find a driver that would agreed to share maintenance. Although you can have him handle repairs below 5 - 7k. But ensure to be informed about what was repaired so you can make a judgement call if it good according to your set standards for the car.

You bought the car, so you decide what you want as weekly rental payment. Be flexible about it not rigid.

Like the Ogas on this thread said, asked for #Assurance Deposit (former called Security Deposit) and don’t worry yourself about your car being overworked. Just have it insured with a functional GPS tracker (For routine monitoring if you want).

Give the driver undiluted freedom and access to the car but never joke with your weekly physical inspection of the car.

My 2 cent
