he is already anointed. The friendlies are to expose him to more high level pressure. GK trainer will keep working on him.. it's a sad situation. But what can we do?

don't forget that Simy gategrashed. Maybe one of Umar, Dessers, Nwakaeme, Kayode would have made it. Rohr just wanted to add a couple home based players.
Simmy gatecrashed thats true, his form has been good,i wish kayode make the list but as for others i no go miss them, and mind you 7 players will be ommited,my mind is telling me lakosa and simmy will be ommited from the list later and Mikel Agu and uche agbo makiing them 4,ajiboye might follow and stephen eze making them 6,i dont know the last person that will join them because we can take only 23 to the world cup
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 4:42pm On May 14, 2018
instead of aina i will prefer any of idowu and elderson to be dropped. i'm dont yet convinced by idowu. he seem shaky and not good with the ball when on possession. elderson is expired and washed.its time for him to hang his boots. my preference for aina is because he is versatile and more assured with the ball when on possession. it will an uphill task for simy to make it to the final 23.the competition between him and the duo of iheanacho and ighalo will be a fierce one which i doubt him having the ability to dislodge any of them. remember musa also can be deployed as a striker
Icon4s:
What were we going to do with a 35man list in the first place.

7 players to drop:

1. One of Akpeyi/ Ajiboye(more likely)
2. Stephen Eze
3. One of Echiejile/Aina(more likely)
4. Uche Agbo
5. Mikel Agu
6. Junior Lokosa.
7. **** This slot would have been kept for Simi Nwankwo. But I would rather want him to make the list because Ighalo is the only natural CF on that list. But that remains if he comes out good from the camping and warm up games. But if Simi remains, which other forwards would be dropped? The other forwards look untouchable. I would rather go back to the defense to drop one more.

Sad day for Nwakaeme, Kayode, Onyekuru, Sarenren Bazee, Isaac Success etc

One thing is for sure, Rohr was not influenced.. You can not see any strange agent influenced name there. Simy and Lokosa were rewarded simply for apparent good form.
Sure.

I give Rohr 100%

For the first time since France 98 I would see a World Cup list and get excited.

Sign of positive things to come

Idowu was very solid against Serbia and Argentina. He was not great against Poland but he will be my number 1 in that LB role.

have seen agbo play when he was in la liga but dont know how much he has improved since moving to belgium, if not for anything he has been super active in belgium and rohr insistence in him signifies he posses some good qualities. will love to see him against congo and atletico madrid. the little i have seen in his game he is better than mikel agu. as for elderson like you said his experience is worthless if he wasnt able to find it easy in the belgian 2nd division, that's appalling. when finally dropped from the final 23 he should just call it a day in international football
Don't let's us go into Uche Agbo and Rohr, only Rohr can explain better and don't be surprised seeing Agbo in 23 man list.

I perfectly agree with this statement. Simi has an outside chance but one major advantage he has is aside Ighalo he is the only other natural CF on the list.

On Aina, Idowu and Echiejile. Idowu is ahead. The other slot would be between Aina and Echiejile.

I like the list sha... the midfield though.... I've will need to now be rotated in such a way that favours his style of play. imagine.

is okay.

I however need a new new face to crash the final.... we need a new darling like Emenike-Ideye and Sunday Mba.

Idowu would start mostly from the bench unless he impresses so well in camp to our final day. wondering the kind game plan we would see from the Croats.

But I like the way our "two Is"(two eyes aka Iwobi and nacho) are not that getting much hype. They would be jokers come that day.

hahahahahahahahaha good question,so simmy nwankwo will take his place? the hype about this simy nwankwo is beginning to annoy me. haven't seen him play though but from the little i saw on youtube a forthnight ago he doesn't strike me like a player who rohr will go gaga for. he is just similar to sadiq and onuachu but both seem to be more pacy that him. making it to the 30 man list is already a huge achievement for him

I have seen him, nothing special and his goals stats not impressive until towards the tail end of the league,am seeing another Nwofor of Keshi's era.
