No correlation at all.

Protection of lives and properties is Osinbajo's business so he can't afford to mind his business when people are getting killed unnecessarily.

This is not to demean Osinbajo's character. It is merely to point at the weakness of your comparison.

The phone repairer is "being his brother's keeper". It is a thin line between minding your business and being a busy body.
Already the politician had attracted a crowd to his house by beating up his wife. What do you call that? If no one directly said anything to him, the phone repairer took the challenge and spoke up.
I imagine the woman is YOU, or your wife, or mother or sister or aunty or cousin ...
Being systematically beaten to death, and everybody minds their business. No crowd gathers, no phone repairer says anything. Just the husband beating her continuously till she is disfigured, bloodied and dies....

What kind of f**k up world will that be? Even Oyibos that we are all trying to copy, they too are their brother's keeper. They will stop you.

He didn't speak up. He made a snide remark.

And, I still don't see any correlation. It wasn't his business to make snide remarks, especially when it wouldn't save the woman.

It is like a criminal holding someone hostage and the police making snide remarks. Would the snide remarks make the criminal release their prisoner Wouldn't it even provoke them the more to cause more damage to their victim?

My verdict: public peace is all of our business and if you must break up a fight, break it up with sense and not cause more public disturbance or damage to the victim.

You misunderstood me.. I'm referring to NwaAmaipke. He comments are always off, but if you read between the lines, you'll understand him. Now, back to the matter..
People live two lives.. Offline and online.. Some are great people offline and wereys online.. So, his comments will not always be the case, he can advocate beating a wife while literally can't hurt a fly..
Anyone that beat his wife issa loser, and women should also watch their mouths..

Going by your logic, there's actually a correlation. Social studies and civic education teaches us that it's our responsibility as citizens to report crime and not shield/support it. Domestic violence is a crime and it is your business to report/oppose crime. Kapish.

He didn't report the crime, Instead he cowardly made a snide remark which escalated it. He is as guilty of public disturbance as the couple.

Like I wrote earlier, if you must meddle in a fight, do so with sense.
