the lineage OS available is stable but still unofficial, to flash custom rom requires an extra step, you need to register your device with Google using the device android frameworks id, I unlocked bootloader to get rid of shop rom by fastboot flashing official global rom, i still dey reason the matter...i fit jump ship anyways when i figure out some of the details to do it end to end and how to go back to miui if i need to

After drying my phone properly and reflashing the stuck Rom cos it got soft brick, My redmi note 4 no longer gets sim service. I heard restoring QCN will solve the problem. Guy, I cant wait...official Lineage OS never drop for redmi 5 plus, i dey use style wait for that one but if MIUI annoy me enough I fit knack the unofficial one like that abeg grin grin

I'm now on Lineage OS now and enjoying my phone. If there was/is no way to port custom roms, I would have sold the phone since.

lol you're trying sha but you still dey learn...i have flashed close to 10 custom roms on my redmi 5 plus infact i know the people that build the roms and i am one of the rom testers, we have treble roms and non treble roms... Have flashed los, dot os, mokee rom, bootleggers, carbon, pornaosp, miui eu (weekly), resurrection remix, aex, Aokp, Aosp, PornAosp, slim rom etc.. Am currently on miui eu after coming from bootlegger smiley

Note: the roms i just listed are oreo roms .

This rom issue sha, I don't like Samsung UI but this doesn't make it a bad software. Everything na preference. The way people are going on about MIUi, one would think it's terrible and unusable to an average person.

This 100%, took a break from fiddling with any device after my LG G2 4yrs ago . I get the thrill of being in control of one's device and the satisfaction that comes with hopping from one rom to another but at the end of the day stock ROM is much more stable than Custom rom and this isn't limited to MIUI only. Where the godamn time? grin
Damn! I miss my LG G2 embarassed that device was way ahead of its time, it had one of the best screen to body ratio on a phone even till now. Still have the device neatly tucked somewhere, though it's not coming up again.
