I've spent a long time in the village already so I thought of sharing some amusing proverbs in my isoko dialect. Maybe there's a language section but I found myself here.
Okay, here's is the best I could come up with since I'm not a pro in writing in isoko.

1. Ma re wen eno ma kpeto ha yo abe je ame fiho ugwo?
We've not seen the ones to roast and we are putting water in the fire pot (preparing to cook)?

2. Ewa no me re ha me be nisu ri na.
Shitting (pooing) for the beans you didn't eat.

3. Oka ere jo re kwu eva.
Some food dey run belle.

4. Epano a re bebe ara a re bebe omote.
Simply means you catch a lady the same way you catch an animal by luring her.

5. Me rio oke no ame roluo ubio ha.
I didn't know when water entered the coconut.

6. Avwo nye re loloho
She has soft legs (easily gets pregnant)

7. Ero avbo gavi ero avwo (hand own strong pass leg own).
Or
Iwe ne ro avbo be ja sio ero avwo no ho (The thorns in the hands won't let you remove the ones on the legs).
Like saying "My hands are tied".

8. Eme re gwo isu kpoho ituagba
What will take poop to the beards
(When you feel insulted).

9. A che ethe gbe ihiri (can one lock door against smoke)?

10. Akake dhe yo eranye.
Na when you quick run be say you vanish.

11. Ebi ebi a ro bi oko tuwou.
Paddling and paddling takes the canoe home.

12. Duo ule duo eha.
Every beat with it's own dance.

13. Owoh no baho re fiovbo ho ekpa ha.
A naked person cannot put hand in the pocket.

14. Me sa mahavbo fiki egbene avo emefe he.
I can't burn my hands for snake fish and tilapia.

15. Ero re wen egu no re vo eva.
Na eyes dey see the fufu wey go belleful person
