Don't worry. The next governor after Bello will not even pay salaries at all. He will ask workers to go and meet Bello in his village..or the governor plans to rule Kogi forever abi.

People are voted out for failure and voted in for hope and expected performance. If he cannot deliver and find a lasting and permanent solution he should not bother to recontest next year. Politics must evolve beyond rhetoric. What we need going forward are solution providers not excuse renderers.

I wonder why APC led government from federal to state level will not stop the blames game and focus on true governance.
From his submissions, he's further opened the state to ridicule for claiming just between 400 - 500 million will subject a whole state to such a lack of funding to run basic state apparatus.
I think it is time to start thinking of privatizing some of these nonviable states like Kogi

Of course. Why not. They have no work, no tasking, no targets, no objectives and no program related time constrained urgency.

And why, because the people who vote them in and support them in power have no requirements, no demands, no expectations. The dividend of their mandate is open, vague and depends on the benevolence of the 'electee'. Like employing a worker and giving him no task. Why won't he come to work whenever he likes.

If the manager of a company cannot pay his workers regularly and owes them months on end, what will happen to the company if the said manager takes a month's wanton holiday.

Honestly it these are true, let the federal government verify these things and if found to be true, let two things be done: One let such loans be written off, two let those who shared the money be prosecuted, let the money be recovered from them and let them be punished for looting and throwing the state and its citizens into poverty and slavery

Over half of Nigerian states are not viable. Even some with high oil allocations are in terrains where capital projects like roads and bridges are expensive to do. Waterlogged, swampy etc.
There was no need splitting Kano, Ondo, Oyo, Bendel, Kwara, Gongola, Anambra, Borno, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto, Cross River, Rivers, Imo,etc.

You cannot create so many states to rely on Federal allocation. And complete with Governors, commissioners, elaborate bureaucracy. It is not sustainable.
