We've talked about it here before. I think it is coming from Indonesia or something.

Henry240:

I disagree with you. Military spending can be increased, all Nigerian armed services can point to a threat. Air Force and Army would say Boko-Haram, Navy would claim oil theft.

Even we look at the things the Nigerian navy chief has mentioned, you can see that they are already been acquired.

He mentioned 1 Helicopter, we all know the Nigerian navy is receiving 3 Airbus helicopters. We have seen pictures.

He mentioned LPD, we know the Nigerian navy would soon order an SSV from Indonesia. I shared an Indonesian link.

He talked about a Landing Ship Tank, we all know the Nigerian navy signed an agreement with the Indians to locally build an LST in Nigeria.

He mentioned a Seaward Defence Boat, we all know we build those in Nigeria. A 40 meters SDB was launched last year, a larger 50 meters SDB is currently under construction at the Nigerian naval dockyard.

What else is left in the list, just a Frigate,an OPV and a sub. So you tell me, where are we?

Am still looking for the indonesian link you shared.

Some breaking news for the Nigerian Navy.

The Nigerian navy is currently in talks to buy warships from PT-PAL in Indonesia.

Unfortunately, the link is in Indonesian, and if i post it here, i might get a ban from the anti-spambot.

Link has now been provided. Use Google Translate to read story.

why was the JF-17 tagged as NEW instead of ONGOING? Are we paying for another 3 JF17 thunders?

Yes. I believe we have finished paying for 3 previous units. This instance would be down payment for one of another three units. ~ USD 40million

This JF-17 we've trying to buy for the past 3 years now. It's okay, hope we don't get disappointed at the end of the day.

Doesn't make sense to me. The amount quoted by 360 is around USD 36 million.

The jf17 doesn't cost 12 millions USD each

Perhaps we are paying for 3 every 2 years, it was listed as new in 2016 budget and ongoing in 2017, makes sense that 2018 budget says “new” so let’s say 2019 will be ongoing.

But this time around, Saleh did offer some more specifics. According to The Jakarta Post, Saleh specifically said that Malaysia had ordered a Landing Platform Dock (LPD) that could transport up to five helicopters; Nigeria had ordered one SSV; Senegal had ordered one LPD ship along with two Clurit class fast attack craft KCR-35 meter ships and three KCR-60 meter ships; and Guyana Bissau and Gabon had ordered KCR-60 meter ships.

Haven't you noticed the turf war going on? Airforce building a land army while the army has an air wing now? Army display few weeks back used navy helis not airforce. Just saying lipsrsealed

We bought some rugged trucks from East Europe some years back and Army Engineers must have converted them to ZU-23 gun carriers. NA inventory of ZU-23 AA guns is more than 350 units.

There are also many previously dedicated AA guns ZPU which are now being mounted on trucks instead of being towed for use against insurgents in horizontal trajectory mode.

Robbing for 2 hours without police intervention. So these things don't happen in Nigeria alone.

2 hours? Really? Source?
Police vehicles and helicopter responded, car-chase and shootout ensued and some robbers were either killed or caught, according to what I read.

Some of our Tanks came from the Czech Republic Surplus Stocks.
Also more importantly the recent addition of our MRL70 Artillery systems came from there.
