It's asking me to tap to reboot. Do I reboot it? I'm asking cos some updates are detrimental sef.

Please, anyone with Redmi 5 Plus 360° case and a 2.5D screen guard (or ordinary) should kindly notify. I'm very interested in making the purchase as soon as possible.

I've been unable to use my 5 Plus because there's no screen guard. Don't want the screen to shatter too early. Thank you.

Thanks @Gptech .... I hope updating to MIU9.5.9.0 has no issues? I use the dark theme thing, I hope it won't be affected once I update?

And again who knows what causes a particular app on my device to display "No Internet connection" after about 15 minimizing it and returning to the app. If it displays that error, I always have to swipe up to remove it and then relaunch... It wasnt like this before.

It should, mine was not exactly the same scenario, I switched because of font to india and the whole process added about 3 or 4 new apps. I can remember amazon and one india specific Mi forum community app.

You've got 2 options: replace the digitiser only or change the full display (LCD+digitiser). Choose whichever suits you, though when I had similar issue last year, I only changed the digitiser but na risk I was able to take. So, if you can't or money isn't an issue, go for the latter.
