Download the file > insert into the Downloaded_rom folder (if not already created, creat a new one in your root folder) > go to your updater app > More (vertical ellipse at the top right) > choose update package > File Explorer > go to the downloaded file and select. You must have a data connection for verification of the file to be successful.

thanks but am still kinda new to this. I downloaded it through uc browser and it's a zip file. Is it still the same process?

I think some of these xiaomi products are over rated. How can a phone claim to be a 4G LTE phone and I have to pass through different troubleshooting before I can get 4G LTE on 4G LTE specific network like smile, Ntel, swift etc.

Only God knows how many times I have dialled *#*#4636#*#*. NTEL network will just appear like a speed of light and disappear again. I have not been able to use any of the 4g Sim on phone (xiaomi mi max 2). Asides the mtn 4g.

I will appreciate if you guys can help.

Here is a video I made on how to get ntel working on Xiaomi devices on any miui version. Unlike the other method I saw on this thread, this works whether your sim is on sim 1 or 2, or even if it's the only sim in the phone.

First of all, select ntel as the data sim and input ntel APN, now you just need to get to the *#*#4636#*#* screen, then enter the 'Phone information' of your ntel sim.
Now switch on Airplane mode.

If the network mode is on LTE Only, switch it to any other network mode.

But if it is already on any other network mode aside LTE Only, just disable Airplane mode, and quickly switch it to LTE Only before the ntel signal appears. The network signal will be stable.

But if you don't quickly select LTE Only before network signal pop up, it will disappear.

Basically, unlike other methods, this only takes 5-10 seconds to get it working.
