If you buy stolen Xiaomi phones, the new SIM will send your phone number to old user... It is not on OS that you can erase. It's on firmware.

@nairalandbuzz I bought this phone myself from Jumia. Or how else did I know it was 3 weeks old? Your advice is a good one and it's something I give lots of people myself, but you should have asked me first for the evidences of ownership you listed above and if I didn't provide them, then you can tell everyone to steer clear of what I'm offering for sale. Nevertheless, thanks for being security conscious/law abiding.

Anyway, that's all past tense now because I've sold the phone, its accessories and box/phone pack to someone else. CC @ Timson01 . Thanks for your interest though.
