Hahahahahaha! OK, tell me the truth. Are you satisfied with Lokosa and Etebo on the wing?

Or are you satisfied having Ahmed Musa and Moses Victor as the only natural wingers in the team?

If not, what do you suggest?

grin

It ain't about being satisfied, it's about facing the Reality.

Mujtahida:

if i recall correctly iwobi has never been deployed as a ten or AM for nigeria since Rohr came in except in this match.

against zambia he played a a rwf
against algeria he played as rwf
against south africa he played as a lwf
against zambia he subbed simon moses as a rwf
against argentina he played as a false nine coming in from the left wing
against poland he played as a lwf
against serbia he played as a lwf but disobediently drifted into the midfield.

What of the Senegal friendly?

I agree but we are also looking at individual performances as they could decide who is on the plane.

On the cocoyam farm, we played today, it was always going to be difficult to get passes flowing.

I wasn't fazed with the poor Performance of almost all the Players Today due to the state of the Pitch. In fact I lost interest in the Game at a Point and had to focuse on reading Posts here.

We gonna know who is who against England and Czech. Rohr should chill till after the England Game before cutting out 4 more Players from the List.

Simmy can't play as a Target-Man for the Team, damn he's too soft and easily bullied. He's a good Prospect, but this is not his time.

I wish Rohr plays Lokosa as a Striker at Wembley, i wanna watch him leading the Attack, not playing from the Wing - on a world class Pitch.

I saw that too but I don't see Lokosa making the team to London.

maybe we can name him twice. but rohr should have subbed him out at first half. that kind of risk can be costly. he should not even play that england match.

Oh Lawd of Eagles...... LMAO! You are very spot on Sir with the bolded, coz only very few Monikers analyze fairly and objectively.

Don't wanna mention Names but I think I should at least mention a particular Moniker that I do enjoy his Analysis the most, maybe because he's a Lawyer.

Another Moniker I do enjoy a lot is a jovial Fellow, but he's mostly on Point too in a comic way. We need to stop hyping our Team and Players to be honest.

All these Remi is balling, chukwudi is balling, bature is balling won't help the Team cos in football individuals don't win Game, Teamwork does
You know why they said that? The friendlies were meant to ascertain the quality of players as stand alone elements (team assessment notwithstanding) so any player balling (and who is consistent) gives us confidence that he can add quality to the team.

I want Ebuehi to ball and I'm happy when he does but ultimately it's the team I have my eyes on, it's what Ebuehi's balling can add to the team that gives me joy.

That's why some defend Vicmo. His selfishness as some put has yielded returns. He balls. His balling makes the team tick

We played on a proper pitch against Serbia, yet the passes were not flowing.
There must be a method to the madness.

Lokosa to dance Makosa at Wembley. What a stage! But on a serious note Rohr should try it. What I wanted to see wasn't the guy's skill level but his confidence. Cos no matter the skills if you don't have confidence you fit just see Otamendi your blood go just dry, your leg go weak.

Ighalo can never suffer from such. But Lokosa should be tried out.

Nwakali this and that, how many of you expressed this confidence in him when the list was out? Many people here were even saying he hasn't played for a while, lower division, blah blah blah.

It is easy to judge a player based on one game. Nigerian fans do that all the time, but it is also foolish.
Babe relax.....the connectivity of the midfield with the attack is serious lacking whenever mikel is off pitch....
playing etebo there is like have 10 players on the pitch....he barely give a thorough pass upfront.... so what's the need?
though it is a bit late now...I have always harp on the need to include that lad on the 30-35 man list...because of his good passing accuracy nd vision upfront.

so I still believe him in being in that team far better than having the likes of Agbo and co.
too many DMs in this team.

Is NFF trying to decapitate our players by sending them to play with an African team on that suicidal ground called pitch?
What have we gained playing on such horrible turf when the WC will be played on excellent pitches?
No wonder the boys were careful with tackles that could end their WC aspirations and the SS guys were busy castigating the boys for not committing suicidel on that evil pitch angry

Super Eagles Fans Are All Saying The Same Thing About Simy After Sparkling Debut
Crotone striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo showed his class with an impressive performance on his full debut for the Super Eagles and Nigeria fans have sent a message to manager Gernot Rohr that he must be on the plane to Russia.

The lanky forward was brilliant in his movement, showed signs he can pose danger in the opposition penalty area, and was unlucky not to score after hitting the post with a left-footed strike in the first half and came close with a brilliant header in the second stanza.

Simy finished last season as Nigeria's top scorer in Europe's top five leagues with seven goals for a struggling club.

Here are some of the reactions on Twitter from Super Eagles fans who are raving about his performance against the Leopards:

@Ebuka : ''Simy Nwankwo has had a good game today.''

@debolaadebanjo : ''Match to forget, not for Simy Nwankwo though.''

@TheOddSolace : ''To be honest, this match is a write-off in my eyes. Only thing meaningful out of it is that Simy has looked good in snatches.''

@jeremy_liit : ''Okay seen enough of Simy Nwankwo to know he has to go to Russia.''

@MFBANE301 : ''Simy should be on the plane to Russia, we don't have many true strikers.''

@oluwasanmiSolo1 : ''I think simy nwakwo will take moses Simon spot in the team.''

@adesurplux : ''This guy Simy should make the final 23, good player to deputy Ighalo #NGA''.

@TheSilentMafia_ : ''Simy Nwankwo is already in the Worldcup team.''

@ade1402 : ''Simy Nwankwo should make the pack to Russia. He has all the attributes of a striker.''

@riicojay13 : ''If mikel Agu makes it to world cup it is a clear indication he bribe his way in, Simy very decent if he get better supply must make the team in my opinion..Echejile has no business going too.''

@david_ezennunu4 : ''It's been really shallow from the midfield in this game but this new boy simy nwakwo that is the center forward for this game is really good, he should def be taken along to d world cup. More competition for ighalo''.

@OmotayoA : ''Simy Nwankwo has really positioned himself for the World Cup based on the performance today. Given time and better services from the middle, he promises to be another enterprising striker for Nigeria while also adding the physical presence upfront. Quite impressed with him.''

@Tautolo52179558 : ''Simy nwankwo should b in Russia.''

@NurudeenObalola : ''I think Simy should be on the plane to Russia...''.

@AYOMIDE_SUPER : ''Simy nwankwo must go to russia ooo i no wan know how @NGSuperEagles''.

@Biola_Carter : ''This Simy Nwankwo must go to Russia... But I need someone to tell me one special thing about that Etebor guy.''

@tcompton_Lion : ''Simy nwankwo is on that plane to Russia already

Who is the AM you suggest? Nwakali? based on a holiday match? Let the boy grow.

This is the same way we hyped Haruna Lukman based on friendly performances and he was invisible in the WC proper.

Why do I have the feeling you're trivializing this conversation by using my words to reply me. I thought this was supposed to be an honest conversation and not confrontation.
In any case, like you said, my point have been noted.
I'm not trivialising it but you see I'd prefer the team to be criticised on its own terms than calling for what we know cannot happen at this stage. That's why I kept saying that we have to face reality.

See lots of people criticizing the team for its inability to string passes, play well through the middle and many other deficiencies. One can hardly contest this cos this are facts

But talking about team B as a way of levelling criticism on the team is like I said too basic. Team B cannot carry what this team is going to carry at the WC.

Nwakali is good. Can he go to WC at this stage? No. Hope you get my point

ability to hold onto the ball and dictate a play is a skill in football that can make teams go far.. only Mikel seems to be the only player in the present eagles set up that is close to that

We saw a glimpse of what the team can do when they got the bit between their teeth against Argentina. They were fired up for the game, saw Ndidi's celebration for the equalizer.

I suspect that they will be fired up for the England game as well.

For most players, they just want to get through these games with no injury.

All the games played this year involved new players, a different line up and without some of our most important players playing. They are called friendlies for a freaking reason. This is the first time Rohr will have all these guys with him for more than a week.
