Every coach has a player he rates that most fans don't. In the days of Bonfrere Jo it was Garba Lawal. Agu will be in the final 23.

Every coach liked Lawal. Nigerians could not figure out why..

please....I rather we have nwakali in that team...that's a waste of slot.
that guy @23 still can't play good footbAll...when will he start living to expectation?
we are talking of having a bench that is as strong or even close to the calibre of the 11 players on the pitch....
please I will rather we take Joel obi self.....
uche Agbo and agu are in same level.

Look again. I included him in my midfield because he has a future as a CAM.
In fact for the 2022 World Cup, I see him and Nwakali dictating the pace from the middle of the park in the same way as Iniesta and Xavi did in their prime.

All of una just dey call nwakali, pray he get game time and he get a good loan club if he cant get game time in arsenal, because i will not want a division 2 player to be a starter in the super eagles, if na championship club e go dey okay,no b all those dutch division 2 club.

lawal was a very humble and loyal player...
always the first to hit camp...rarely miss call ups...
and never saw the team captaincy as a problem he respects whoever was the captain, even when made to come in as sub...he never had a problem wit.
though in some opinion it was said...that he was being invited because of the federal character system....which i doubt.

even without him being fit...let lokosa replace Simon and let those two midfielders sit at home....

nancho and iwobi can' sometimes draft into the midfield to play the 10 role whenever mikel is subbed

my brother, let's support the final 23 players chosen. Those you think will flop might end up to be the heroes.

Agu will make it because joel obi refuse to turn up. I have a feeling Rohr likes obi too, Obi has started all matches since his recall but yet nothing come out.

Not bad choice, I really feel pity for Moses Simon now. He is so unlucky. BTW, if we should go by this, it means that either of Agu /Joel and either of Ederson/Aina is going to be dropped.

what has Joel obi played so far...for the past 3 games...he has played nothing..
we can't keep managing two Similiar midfielders.... onazi and Joel....
both are trending base on sentiment...while we can manage onazi let's drop Joel....
we need someone better...that can offer something upfront and compliment mikel...

Baba we are not managing Onazi, his still one of our best players, look at that pass to iheanacho even his free-kick that causr confusion.

i notice his not really popular with people here

You know why they said that? The friendlies were meant to ascertain the quality of players as stand alone elements (team assessment notwithstanding) so any player balling (and who is consistent) gives us confidence that he can add quality to the team.

I want Ebuehi to ball and I'm happy when he does but ultimately it's the team I have my eyes on, it's what Ebuehi's balling can add to the team that gives me joy.

That's why some defend Vicmo. His selfishness as some put has yielded returns. He balls. His balling makes the team tick
You hit the head on the nail.

well...just want us to prevent a reoccurence of what happened in 2014 world cup.

someone said Etebo is more like Amokachi, that was perfect comparison, his speed and strength is his advantage not his passes and positioning

You see now? When I said sometime ago that goalkeeper crisis is the least of our worries, you think say na play? For all we care we can play without a keeper if we can boss the midfield. Thats my own philosophy and opinion. At least now e don clear say una go get something new to make noise about.

A look at Etebo any day any time will tell you that he cannot be the 10 you are looking for. But you will hear people make all the noise about him being a baller. All I see is an Amokachi version 0.5.

Our eyes don dey clear small small. Make we continue dey make noise on Uzoho and Akpeyi.
My own beef is how is it that it took us this long to really know that we needed a 10 in the absence of Mikel? How long will it take to know that some players just cant cut it as a make shift 10? If Naija crashes out i the world cup at least we know where the problem lies. Lets stop fooling around and address the koko of the matter.

Solution: Remove every nigerian in the coaching crew and allow the coach do a proper screening excercise. Enough also with the media interference. Most journos are also agents themselves.

I agree. I hope we have a strict and thorough screening exercise after the World Cup. No sentiments attached to it and every role including the keeper role should be adequately addressed.

Either way, it is time to face the World Cup and hope for the best.

Aina shoot himself in the foot ..with that foul on Congolese player... the tackle wasn't necessary or would respond much earlier...prior the player cuts in moreover it was outside the box and not a penalty....

besides that mistake...he played well and better than elderson.....
hope rohr drop elderson....

the truth is our players does not really the opportunity most Europeans have....
he has not proven himself with the national team so most clubs will barely look his way...moreover he is an arsenal player not a frsh player going on trial abroad....

had it been he is able to get the British work permit...things would have been easier.... just hope he gets a better agent or his agent is asked to sit up.....get him into a reasonable club.
