Candybright,

Searching for admission against fall by this time? No! It's late. I want to believe you're heading for a masters program. All masters degree/PGD/PGC applications against fall must be closed by now. Kindly apply for an admission for the winter.
thanks, I heard so too. they are all closed for fall. I was searching for undergraduate course.

Lol.....Applied March 12, Biometrics March 16, Eligibility review started April 30, Medical Request May 1, Medical done May 3, Medical passed May 6. Since then, it has been on background processing and eligibility review since then. .
12 weeks counting, should I send case specific email for update or still hold on for CIC.

You are almost there... Still exercise small patience. Your school resumes September, give them two weeks more. You can afford to wait small

My one cent though

hello boss, for someone that have a degree in economics, work experience in Document Control, is it ok to go for MSc in Human Resources or will it raise an eyebrow during visa application. Please I need your advice thanks.
Also, how about MSc in information management system?

Frankrobbn1:

odimbannamdi,

In your case what will best sell here is an MBA program, considering that you're into business since you last left university and decide to further studies in business shows a career progression for you and will also stand as a career advancement towards your business portfolio back home. This appears more realistic to a visa officer.

A progression as it goes can be your current employment position/activity with your proposed program or previous studies with your intended program.

No..... Going for a one year advanced pdg in finance. Read Economics undergrad, working in a fiance department with a company..... Which was the major drive for my course choice. He wasnt convinced I ll get back wen am done......couldn't it be TIES?
Jewel80:
Another undergraduate degree after service? Was the home tie the only reason? Or did VO also say not convinced you are a genuine student?

Biko, I hear people saying they transferred funds to a Canadian bank account and used the Canadian bank statement for visa. How do they do this please? As I am interested. What I found out is that banks will need your trv or study permit or pr before you open an account from Nigeria. Pls any one with knowledge on this should help me out.

Thank you.

Good Morning house. I got an admission yesterday for fall, please is it still advisable to go ahead with the visa APPLICATION ,or defer for spring and apply because I can see the time frame for Nigerians is 8weeks. PleAse guru in the house assist with your candid advise. God bless.

Fall is still 3 months away. Go ahead and apply. It is very possible to receive your visa before school resumes.

Wait till a few days before you school resumes, and if a decision still hasn't been made on your application yet, you can defer. It will not affect the outcome of your application. CIC will simply request for your new acceptance letter with new start date and proceed with the processing of your application.

However, I have a question , my Sponsor who happens to be my Uncle has given his documents to a distant relative last December/January. Can I still use his documents ?

Thank you.

Hi, this is the 5th week since I applied for my study permit! As at the time that I put in my application, the estimated processing time as stated in CIC site was 7weeks! I submitted via the paper route and even did my biometrics same day but it still hasn't been updated as completed. Eligibility review hasn't even commenced. The only thing that was updated on my page about 2weeks ago was my upfront medical report, which shows "passed medicals"! Is this slow normal? I submitted my application on the 27th of April, and my estimated time for a response is 15th June. I got admitted for a one year Masters of Public health at University of Western Ontario which is a highly ranked school in Canada and I am a Pharmacist.

Note: My school resumes 2nd September!

No I don't! Although my elder brother is a Canadian citizen, my Immediate jnr has 3 years multiple visa but hasn't even used it because he resides in Australia & my mum also has a super visa from Canada and goes to visit from time to time and I provided their details because I used the old family information form for my application

Please is there any way to get an expedited appointment date for application submission?
Or anyone who has an earlier appointment but not ready for submission and can give out
their space or exchange appointment dates?

Same here! I am really confused about what to do! I can't teach the VO his/her job. Maybe I should hang on a bit to see if all of these will be updated in a day or two! How long did it take before your biometrics was updated? How about the timeline before your review eligibility and background check status were updated?

That what? My biometrics is yet to be updated? Or should I wait to the end of this week and if nothing happens, then I send them mail nextweek Monday? Do you think this delayed update on my page is an abnormal occurrence?

Hello!

There's no problem with your biometrics.

it's a common trend now that paper route applicants do not get biometrics completed till the visa is being approved. I'm in that shoe now alongside lots of other people.

There's no cause for alarm. This is common with paper route these days.

Biometrics should be the least of his worries
