The advise from Yorubas are not needed and are actually useless...We do our thing the way we please.

Of course you do. That's why all we've heard from you guys for the last 50 years is crying and weeping and whining like babies.

Besides, how did you just jump to the conclusion that I'm Yoruba? Are they cause and source of your nightmares?

No we dont cos you guys are extremely malicious.,so any advise from you all is usually for our peril...We shall keep agitating and making as much noise as we like by any means necessary as long as we are stuck together in the name of 'one' Nigeria..no apologies.

I actually guessed you are Yoruba from your comment just like i do others that sound like yours..not because they give me nightmares but because of their high nuisance level on threads that concerns Igbos...90% of the time,i am correct

Pathetic embittered lowlife. You can never debate sensibly. Anyone who holds opposing view to yours is automatically an 'Afonja' or 'Arewa'. No wonder every other tribe sees the 'fault in your stars'.

The young man @laribari is not discounting the effort of the sit-at-home, he is only comparing the effectiveness to that of a rally. Rather than engage him as a worthy debater, you are foaming at the mouth from the endless nightmares you've had because of Yoruba people.

nfonja, shove your sensible debate up ur leaking arsxe and gerrooouut!

Bro btw u & I, let's tell ourself the truth. Rally is greater because that is what creates fear in the government and also it's a movement. You make noises, make your presence known, air your concerns, give ultimatum, etc. It's a mobilization unit and it builds momentum.

Let's tell ourself the truth, sitting at home does not affect Nigeria or FG. People have a choice to sit at home. The world will recognize you more or hear you when you take to the streets but in this manner, it will fade away on time. Rallies are continuous but you cannot keep staying home, you have to work and eat. If you shut down oil wells by sitting at home then it will affect Abuja and Nigeria. As it stands now, who staying at home epp? Make pengasson go on striker whether Abuja nor go shake.

You don't tell yourselves the truth and that is why things continue to fail, small things continue to look big before the eyes becos you lie to yourselves just to feel good for 30 seconds.

How can you say sitting at home is greater? Does it worry Abuja if you stay home? Mind you, on democracy day everybody stayed home, nobody worked and Nigeria didn't scrumble.

You may think that I'm hausa or yoruba cos anyone who loves Nigeria to you people is from West or north but I'm Delta Ibo I love Nigeria, it's the country I know and feels like it's home and I live freely but what I ate are our leaders (who are from north, west, north and south). Almost all the top senators for years were igbos, what did they do for their people? Pius Ayim, Okadigbo chuba, Ekweremadu, Alison maduekwe, deziani, etc. How many of these influential people yoruba or hausa? Then how come Lagos is improving? Igbos have their own share and blame in destroying this country. Didn't they also loot billions? Are they saints? The roles they occupied, did they help their people or develop their states?

I don't have a problem with peeps staying home as it is for them to honour their heroes., after all Lagos state give holiday for June 12 (Abiola) but wen Ipobians here on NL begin to talk trash and show pictures, saying every complied, 100%. Compliance, etc. I just laff.

What government said it's clear. Keep your flags, don't take to the streets, don't grant treasonable interviews or you are arrested for terrorizing the country and every ipobian complied, that alone is a defeat whether you want tell the truth or not.

Nobody is arrested for sitting at home, it's not a crime.

You are calling me a Nigerian and you are not? See you lying to yourself. I shake my head for this brainwashing. How can you discriminate? You sounded like a ghanian or a togolese now. In your word....... you Nigerians.

You guys are bewitched (sorry to say).
You probably live in outside the east (maybe in lagos)
You live in Nigeria, you were born here. You spend naira.
If you have to travel out you will use Nigerian passport
If you have an Id card it will be a Nigerian card.
Your tribe and kinsmen are also in government and also responsible in spoiling this nation along with all the criminals ruling us.
You don't use visa to live here
You don't need a work permit to work anywhere in this great nation.
If you are a football fan, your heart beats for the super eagles.

YET YOU SAY YOU ARE NOT NIGERIAN that you Ave been all your life because one liar said so? HAA!!

I pity you! You have lost your identity. You have non because biafra is not on the map. Go and claim Ghana or Togo if you hate being 9ija, those are real countries.

Now you are saying it's an internal matter so the world won't say anything. Ndi igbo, let's tell ourselves the truth Maka chineke. What about all those propaganda? America will ask buhari! Trump tis, trump dat! United nations this, UN that. The average Kanu supporter thought UN will be on their side. Now because nothing happened when Kanu was silenced you say it's an internal issue but ipob was banking on international community. When a man lies to himself and his people, he fools only himself and his people.
This guy you are so frustrated. I just pity you. At this rate, you will soon have stroke. For your information, there is nothing like Delta Igbo keep fooling yourself. I have never heard any Igbo man say he is Imo Igbo, Anambra lgbo, Abia Igbo etc. You are one of those deluded lost ship. God forbid.

The stay at home pained the Buhari Goverment more than its paining you. For the fact that international media carried the news, its big success to IPOD. That shows
IPOB control the people and not the shithole government.

Yorubas are extremely malicious yet you flood Yoruba land to live in peace and raise families and prosper in business, yet Yorubas are extremely malicious? Now who is the malicious one?

Nobody is stopping you from agitating and making noise about your proposed republic but you guys are already constituting yourselves into a nuisance.

There are better ways to realize your Biafra, but you've chosen the impossible route. You can only achieve Biafra if you come cap-in-hand to become allies of Yorubas and other minority ethnic groups in Nigeria. With the Yorubas solidly behind you you'll achieve Biafra faster.

That's sure

But since you've allowed your parents to poison your mind about Yorubas then you'll continue to run in circles and not make any progress.

And yes I'm proudly Yoruba. I don't hate Igbos. I don't even think about it. The only place I encounter that word "Igbo" is here, on Nairaland. And I guess that's the same for every other Nigerian who isn't Igbo.

You'd think there wasn't any other tribe in Nigeria. Always whining about how much you are hated.

Work with the Yorubas so that you can achieve freedom.

A stay-at-home protest by Biafran separatists in Nigeria has crippled cities and towns in the south-east.
Streets are empty and markets, banks and schools are closed to mark the abortive attempt in 1967 to gain independence for the region.
It led to a bitter three-year civil war in which more than one million people were killed.
The authorities have warned the secessionists against street protests and security forces are on patrol.

South-eastern Nigeria is mainly inhabited by the ethnic Igbo community, who often complain of marginalisation - accusing successive governments of failing to develop their areas.

In the last few years, there have been a resurgence of support for a breakaway state of Biafra led by the banned group Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) and the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (Massob).
The BBC Igbo service says there has been a total shutdown in the Igbo heartland of Enugu and Anambra states.

This timber market in the oil hub of Port Harcourt was among the many businesses that observed the stay-away call
The southern oil city of Port Harcourt as well as parts of Abia state have also been affected by the stay-away.

People have been sending in photos to BBC Igbo of deserted streets, including one of the iconic Niger River Bridge in Onitsha, known as the gateway to the east, which is usually congested with traffic.

Ipob leader Nnamdi Kanu is currently facing treason-related charges.
He has not been seen in public since last September when his house was raided by the Nigerian military. The army denies arresting him and his whereabouts are unknown.www-bbc-co-uk.0.freebasics.com/news/world-africa-44304368?iorg_service_id_internal=1646953538912597">https://https-www-bbc-co-uk.0.freebasics.com/news/world-africa-44304368?iorg_service_id_internal=1646953538912597%3BAfqDOIsUOlQlswAF https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-44304368#

I believe you were not even conceived during the Babangida/Abacha era. When Babangida annulled the election results and the west was starting to boil guess what happened? Hundreds of thousands of Igbos packed themselves aboard trailers and headed to the east from the west for fear of their lives. I understand that chest beating is passed down from one Igbo generation to another genetically. The Yorubas love peace. The Hausas up north have been massacring you since time immemorial, yet you still go there because anywhere is better than home for you guys.

My father retired as a top Direactor from FCAA(Feferal Civil Aviation Authority) when Lagos was the capital of Nigeria till Abacha completed the relocation...He retired and stayed back in Lagos because he had a thriving business then..That was how we his kids had something to do with Lagos...and that was how i got to know how Yorubas are and how their mind works.

So your father trained you with money he earned as a NIGERIAN civil servant? What a shock!? He retired and stayed back in Lagos. Why didn't he retire to his village in the east? He had a thriving business. Where? In Yoruba land. Why didn't he go to the east to start a thriving business? You are just an ungrateful lout who thinks the average Yoruba person is out to get them when they don't even think about you on a normal day.

The mulitplier effect of Lagos being the former Capital of a third-World country like Nigeria, having the most viable Sea-port,Airport and other FG-orchestrated infrastructure in Lagos and environs and by extention Sw is better imagined...

Is Ibadan also a former Capital of Nigeria? How about Akure, Ogbomosho, Ilesha, Ogun, Ife and so on? Why are your people all over the place like lice?

We are very different people, culturally and all..we also have very different history, therefore you have no right to tell us how to chart a course for ourselves..

I agree we are very very different people. But we haven't come to invade your home. You are the ones in our faces. Go back home then you'll have the moral gumption to call Yorubas unprintable names. Staying here and yarning rubbish about Yoruba mind is beneath you. Living in the midst of the people you so desperately hate must be an ulcer in your life.

It is only a retard who will keep doing the same thing and expect different result, you just keep trying and adjusting to times while keeping the pressure on by any means necessary till we get our desired result..

I'm glad you used the word retard. Now look at all your efforts to achieve Biafra and tell me they aren't the same since the 60s.

I do not hate Yorubas on a personal level and in the general sense, but i am honest enough to admit that politically most Igbos and Yorubas are extremely different with extremely divergent views.

Is that what you tell yourself whenever you are with your Yoruba "friends" in real life? That you don't hate Yorubas on a personal level? That you hate them on a general level perhaps?

You are living in denial. Let me open your eyes. You hate Yorubas and I'm sure you'd want to see them hurt deeply because of what you've heard about the civil war.

It doesn't really matter. You know why? Yorubas are all out there trying to make a living and not exactly giving a flying fvck about your issues against them.

Do yourself a favor and stop lying to yourself that you don't hate Yorubas. It's very obvious from your posts on Nairaland. At least be truthful and own up to that.

You are laughabe, very very laughable. No matter what rally you do, if people don't support you, the rally is meaningless. Same with a politician, no matter how how many rallies, if the people choose not to vote that politician, the rally was a waste. IPOB asked the people to sit at home and majority complied. What this shows is that the people support IPOB and that's what matters. The sit at home was not to show the Government of Nigeria, it was to show the world that the people support IPOB.

For now, IPOB cannot do as much rallies as they used to because the proscription but the matter is court and they have wait because they are a non violent organisation. But it is disgraceful that your own country needs the military to fight unarmed IPOB but the same military cannot save you Nigerians from Boko Haram, Herdsman killers and Niger Delta militants who are all armed and killing people daily. There is nothing brave or victorious about Soldiers going to fight unarmed peaceful people, it is actually shameful and an abuse of human rights.

You may be Delta Igbo, you may love Nigeria but that is not the issue. The question is does the majority in your area love Nigeria as much as you? That is what referendum is for which what IPOB wants.

There is something called "right of self determination" which is enshrined in international law. It simply means that any group of people can agitate to have a separate country.

Scotland had been part of Britain for over 300 years, but the Scots agitated to have their own separate country and they got referendum in 2014. Nigeria was created just the other day in 1914, so why do people find it hard to understand that Igbos have a right to a separate country? If the British who created Nigeria can give their own area, Scotland, the right to go or stay, then who are you as a Nigerian to be shouting "one Nigeria"? At the end of the day, you are just a British product as a Nigerian.

So the Biafran is brainwashed for seeking his independence from Nigeria? Were the Scots brainwashed for seeking independence from Britain? Was East Timor brainwashed for seeking independence from Indonesia? Were Americans brainwashed for fighting for their independence from Britain?

So Lugard came from Europe and created a country by shooting and subjugating your ancestors, his wife now came and bastardised your ancestors by naming them after a common River and you are here proud to be a "Nigerian". It is Lugard and his wife that determines your country and identity for you but when you see other Africans like IPOB who want to decide own country and identity for themselves, you call them brainwashed fools. Are you not ashamed of your self?

Wake up and stop suffering from colonial mentality. You can love and believe in Nigeria but respect the rights if others who don't love or believe in Nigeria and want their independence.

You haven't recovered from the hurt. The victory in my argument is apparent. Where are your flags, where are your rallies and where is Kanu? Do you know the strength ipob had was their rallies? That has been taken away. Any counter argument from you lot is lost.

ABEG go sleep. Dey console yoursef there. It's clear who is loosing.
you see the issue here. This sit at home is not about kanu or biafra or ipob rallies but its about us remembering those that lost their lives during the war. Why is it difficult for you people to understand this?

Thanks BBC

Not the useless TVC News that has been compromised

Their news is always biased against Igbo's.

That's why i stopped watching that useless station since last year

And channels has join them

smh
The only program I sometimes bumped into was their journalist hangout.Even stopped that soon as I saw they were extremely lopsided in their views.Never bothered watching tvc news itself, cause just knew it would never be objective, far as its owned by Tinubu.
Then completely stopped watching any of their jaundiced programs when they yanked off all newspapers review and political analysis program on their sister then Radio continental, now Max radio FM station.
You came to power based on the freedom of speech afforded you,but cannot even have the decency to allow even airing of views, talkless of dissenting views and opinion, soon as your party came to power.
That's a sign of a station and ruling party member financed medium, that go to any length to destroy any minutest criticism of its government.

Dude i am sure you understood the economic effects of the analogy i posted using my father??...was Lagos your making that he should leave the Capital of Nigeria then while you lots from Ogbomoso,Ekiti,Osun and ither enclaves flood the place like locusts while leaving your hinterlands to rot away??..

.Why should anyone be grateful to you??..did you get the job for him,pay our fees and gave us accomodation for free??...you are extremely delusional for expecting some sort of gratitude when you lots did not contribute to our success....

Hausas kill you lots in the north too,but because your lives mean nothing, you have decided to keep mute..Your headache...

Anyway the crux of the matter is that generally,Yorubas are extremely malicious towards Igbos, therefore your advise is meaningless and useless because you only want Igbos to keep shut and be one Nigeria with you instead of agitating for a seperate country...

Period.

[s]My Afonja Brother. We want dismantle the grip of Fulani men to power. You have water for ports which is in your region but its the Fulanis that control the ports while the Igbos control the business there. Yoruba land is up for grabs btw. Igbos and fulanis, thats why fulanis always fight lgbos. Afonja is busy selling every piece of grave yard they have

Yesterday one Yoruba man put his house for sale and left the agent instruction that he does not want to sell to any lgbo man. grin grin grin[/s]

Go get a job and try to be gainfully employed first, then you can talk of buying land anywhere or controlling the ports. Keep fooling yourself. You are entitled to your delusions of grandeur.

Is that why you are crying and shouting and wailing for freedom everyday?

What exactly is your pain??...we must not do things the way we you want, must we??. This country is not working, therefore allow those who want to do something about it to do it in peace

Whether Yorubas move from Ogbomosho to Lagos is none of your concern, is it? They are still in the west.

Gratitude? Who's expecting gratitude from a bunch of Jew-wannabes? Lol.

You are the ones living in the west and still complaining about your lot in life. If you're tired if seeing Yoruba people whom you've claimed harbor malice towards you what's stopping you from relocating to the east? Or has anybody tied you down with chains?

At bolded. Can you give concrete evidence of this? I'm waiting for your proof.

No wonder other tribes hate you guys.

Did you sit at home on that day in Lagos, Southwest or did you go to the east to join them to sit at home?

See this one oo! Do you know how many argument I have won on this issue because you peeps like to deceive yourself. All this actions na medicine after death. Not being able to come out and hold rallies alone is defeat to biafra. You don't know this. The camp is weakened.

Ask yourself, why is the world not questioning Nigeria or buhari on what he did to Kanu? They are aware of what happened.

You are the one crying, mourning and not me. So keep quiet and enjoy staying home. Don't come out tomorrow ooo!

Rip to those who died unfortunately, but the wise among the living will stay away from trouble and that is why rallies have disappeared. People will just die for noting, nobody will ask FG and biafra will not happen. So be wise.

Oga you are just writing rubbish. Rest your keyboard mbok.
Our brethren from the East have decided to sit at home. What is your business ? Is it your seat ? Is it your home ? Did Buhari send you ? Haba !

Lagos blablabla!!..are you given land and properties for free??..dont you buy them just like Igbos??..keep fooling yourselves..

That you harbour malice in your heart doe not i mean i wont sell and make money of you..especially if we are one Nigeria....'I make my money and move on' is the Igbo Businessman's philosophy..no time!...

You can call me a Jew-wanna- be,no problem, but i wont call you an 'afonja cone-head'

An example of your malicious tendencies is you and your brothers pain and anger at the decision of most Igbos to st-at-home in remembrance of our beloved who died during the Civil War..

Yeah other tribes hate us while they love you, espevially Hausa-Fulani Muslims undecided..Middle-belters have also received enormousl love from Fulani Herdsmen
