If a man can Single-handedly build a Refinery that will produce 650,000 barrels per day of refined petroleum products to meet all the country’s refined petroleum products needs as well as export to other countries, Why on earth are we finding it difficult to maintain the ones we have? Why are we finding it hard as a country to build a Refinery? Is Dangote Richer than Nigeria? Or is this Country cursed or something Nigeria spent almost N2.59 trillion to import refined petroleum products in 2016 and spent N3.24trn on fuel imports in 2017 according to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics. According to SPE,Nigeria spends over $10m daily on fuel import. it's very unfortunate that a country like Nigeria with large crude oil reserves and being the largest crude oil producer and exporter in Africa and eighth in the world, still imports more than 80 per cent of its petroleum products needs. Well #This is Nigeria... |

This table you are shaking, many politicians are standing on top am o. Many are gaining from exportation and importation of fuel bro, including top government officials so, any act to tamper this will be considered a treason |

How do you want importers of refined oil to make their billions and settle those in government with millions? Electricity productions and distribution is not rocket science, even countries with less than half of Nigeria's yearly income have very stable electricity supply, yet its the same question. How do you want generator importers and electric power officials to make their money if everything is working fine in that sector. Now apply this principle to all the other sectors of the economy that is about to collapse and you'll understand why the country is not working and can never work. |

ElsonMorali:Well said! Electricity ! Another Story for another time . Despite the huge amount of money spent on Electricity, we re still struggling to generate 5000MW in a country of 180 Million people. Will they die in if they do the right thing? May God help us.... Movic1:16 billion dollars was what they spent to procure darkness for Nigerians. It won't be too much to ask that all politicians since 1999 be hung from the neck until they be dead. |

Common sense doesnt apply in Nigeria. Some people have made arrangements because their refinery is located abroad look at what will happen to Dangote see it wont work suddenly he will realise he missed something. |

ElsonMorali:its easy for a country that wants to work. We can't allow this to continue because of the profits made by a few people. Best thing to do is to call those generator importers, i mean the huge importers and give them contracts on electricity. Let them manage it. Or we can fix electricity and let heads roll. |

The same reason we can not fix our power sector. When I say that Nigeria is cursed some fools will want to kill themselves. |

izombie:But we both know this is never going to happen. Because this is Nigeria. Nigeria is a foregone conclusion. No hope for that country. |

Omololu007:Not the kids fault. Unless their children are above 21 and are proven to have colluded with their parents to defraud the country. In fighting injustice we can't afford injustice. |
