Peacefullove:
The highlighted is the point am driving at, a scar is a dishonor to the body,if Jesus possess a body with scar it simply means He is not yet glorified. A glorified body will be perfect in every way without any dishonor or defects .
That scar is an honour and a sign of victory. Warriors and champions are proud to display theirs. But Jesus Christ displays it for our own good. The devil hates to see it. Jesus not showing it will be a point of argument for the devil to say, see, there's no evidence of His crucifixion and death. But with those scars, no argument. It is a small thing for the Lord to make it go away or disappear.

If that is the reason why you won't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, then I think you're mistaken. Jesus rose with a glorified body!. Nothing can alter that truth and fact.

flesh and blood is used figuratively, means those with the corrupt nature. Since everyone is born with that nature, therefore every natural human can be referred to as flesh and blood.

The kingdom of God is not just heaven but it is the realm or Sphere where God's perfect will is done.
If a man become born again then he become part of his kingdom check this out
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Why does a man need to be born again?
Answer flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom.
It has nothing to do with being human
But it has everything to do with the type of human i.e an old creation ( Adamic race) or the new creation (Christ race).

Again flesh and blood also mean our weak human body since it has been affected by sin
and subjected to sickness, death etc ,and God's kingdom is eternal the human body is unsuitable for eternity and must be transformed to a more suitable one
1 Peter 2 vs 24 he himself bore our sin in HIS BODY

grin grin is that of Jesus not affected by sin too ?

It is sown in dishonor ( scar , defects, corruption) and raised in glory ( free of dishonor ) that is what your Bible said.

So , Jesus is still raised in dishonor ?

Is OK. It seems you deliberately just want to maintain your position. Do you even read what I said?. Jesus was raised in honor.

Honor has defects ?

What defect?. What do you think?. That the one who heals scars of mortal bodies cannot heal His own?.

That the one who makes limbs grow where they weren't cannot make a scar go away?.

That the one who spat on the ground, made a mud and opened a blinds eye cannot heal a mere scar?.

The scar on Jesus body is like a sticker one can peel off, yet it is very real. I said, He retains it for our testimony. He doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. He's God and sovereign ruler of the Universe. He owes no body any explanations. But for our victory and testimony He keeps it.

Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Whenever a believer quotes that scripture, the Lord Jesus shows the evidence to back it up and to shut up Satan from arguing because he is the accuser of the brethren, always looking for a way to discredit anything that will bless and favour us.

After the work of grace is done Jesus will remove that scar. It does not affect His divinity in anyway. It is not a dishonor, rather, it is our victory and evidence and triumphs over Satan.

If I'm sick today, all I need do, is reffer Satan to that scar and Jesus will show it, case closed! I have my victory!. But if it doesn't exist, the devil stands to argue with me and tries to deceive and harass me.

I am proud of Jesus scars, it is a sign of his victory over Satan, death, sin and grave for me. Shalom.

A perfect body is a sinless body not a body without defect(am talking of a spiritual perfect body)

As long as you are given birth to in this word you're born into sin...which makes the body corrupted that means you need to be reborn again to get an incorruptible body albeit not by going into the womb against but by transformation... remember the mount of transfiguration Jesus showed what a perfect body looked like when those prophets came down...now for me to put it plainly for you

physical mind is carnal and a perfect body by this standard has no defect but

spiritual mind is eternal and a perfect body has no sin in fact it is in corruptible

therefore don't judge Jesus in heaven by earthly or physical standard of perfection

understood?

Your opinion doesn't count but what your bible say

Bible said his dead body should be sown in dishonor and raise in glory .

But here with those wounds, raised with the same dishonor, where is the glory ?

Anything perfect doesn't have defect. Common knowledge 101 . trying to deviate from these will only lead you to further complications such as :

So Christians with hunchback will still have it in heaven, perfect body right ?

And those with accident and crooked teeth will still RETAIN the scars , Perfect body ?

What Jesus displayed at transfiguration is TOTALLY different from what he displayed to his apostles after he was raised agreed ?

Are you seeing what am seeing here.

the sins of others cannot affect Christ.
Jesus has no sin neither did he inherit any but he choose to take the sins of others on himself.
For example Jesus willingly gave up himself to death. Death couldn't take him unlike others who had no power over death.

the question is who determines what is perfect?or the criteria for being perfect.

for an athlete a perfect body will mean something different from a perfect body for a rugby player...a perfect body for a tennis player is different from a perfect body of a basketballer.

Having established that you can see that you can't just establish a rule for all aspects of life and beyond especially spiritual because you don't even know the real form of spirits neither are you one...you can't say this is how a perfect body should look like... do a poll now 90% of people may not agree with your perception of a perfect body, do u know tatoo is a scar yet people like it and some may see that as perfect .

so u see concerning if people with hunchback will make heaven if they are saved ? yes. will they enter with that body? I will give you Paul's answer ; it doth not yet appear what we will look like but something is certain this our physical body will be changed to something incorruptible...

Concerning Jesus scars no one knows what Jesus looks like in heaven but one thing is sure those scars where to prove doubters wrong for e.g thomas. could he have removed the scars as he ascended ? its possible

the glory is in being raised from the dead? if he didn't have that scar they would have doubted that he was Christ

wound and scar do they mean the same thing

well everyone talks based on their knowledge of the bible. but I believe we will be transformed here's why Phil 2: 6 though he was in form of God did count it as anything to be equal with God but came as a servant and was born in likeness of men(human form)
it is expected that he shall take his former form and that's why john not Paul said
in
first john 3:2 Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

show me where the Bible says anything about a glorified body...a lot people are not reading your post well, well not me

Jesus is the one being glorified not his body ... he is glorified because death couldn't hold him captive he came out of the grave ...

You think I will just create a thread without sound evidence ? grin

1 Corinthians 15 _ chapter 35 to 42

But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?”
36 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 [b] It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory

He is discussing the kind of Body God gives the person resurrected, and he said it will be cleansed from dishonor .

Phil 2 lies the answer

stop confusing yourself on earth he has to be in human form and in heaven Godlike form

don't ask me the same question again in another way cause that will prove you are not really interested in getting answers
