Dear all, kindly ensure you have your hotel booking complete for the number of days you intend to stay in SA. i almost had issues at entry point cos I booked one night to be sure I have a good hotel, else I'll change. The officer had issues with it and sent me to the 'red line' inside this cold weather. Not first visit though. I stopped explaining to him, listened to all his comments with noted as my only response, God intervened. He advised that I should not do next time, and he let me go.....

Smiles. You are so funny bro.

You visit any court to get your documents certified/notarized. You can also do that at a notary public instead.
I dont think there's any problems using your statement of result.

Have you evaluated your documents with SAQA and does your University requires saqa evaluation for admission?

Go ahead and try to apply to as many schools as you can. The higher the number of schools you apply to, the greater your chances.
University of the Free State, University of Stellenbosch have no applications fee so you may include them in your options.
for the above named institutions is saqa required?

I want to believe your application has been long processed and with vfs. Maybe the forgot to notify you for collection, so immediatly they saw your withdrawal letter they now checked and notified you. So don't worry all is gonna be okay.

You need to go as early as possible tomorrow Morning. Please share the good news hen you have it.

Wow I don't think it'll affect the decision cos the visa would already be stamped in your passport before the application would even reach their desk. Hope for the best and let us know how it goes

Yes. You may try University of Johannesburg out. No app fees, no saqa.

Good luck.

Hi Guys,

Big ups to everyone doing good here.

So i have an issue that keeps me up at night (well... sometimes)

I've been to SA twice and the last time i went over my visa got stamped for 7 days instead of the 15 days visa i was given.
Apparently the immigration officer looked at my first visa that was valid for 7 days and stamped my duration of stay for the same making it look like i overstayed for 8 days. I didnt notice until 3 days before departure. Got a letter from the office at SA stating that it was an error on their (immigration) part and asking that i should be granted assistance in anyway possible.

Well. When i got to the airport the immigration officer decided to put the blame on me saying i should have come earlier. She showed me the prompt on her computer that said i had overstayed and verbally said i'll never be allowed entry into South Africa anymore. i'll need to travel to South Africa again in 2 months for work related stuff and i'm super concerned about this issue. I've been to the embassy and i wasnt granted entry to talk to any official which is just sad considering issues like this should be expected to happen and a system should be in place to fix them.

My question now is has anyone had a similar experience or know the best way to go around this?

Actually, once your passport is stamped it's your responsibility to look the validity of your visa and raise any concerns immediately.

Try writing to home affairs directly and see what comes out of it cos legally speaking you over stayed.

The immigration officer has the discretion to stamp you in for the number of days they deem fit.

Yes. You need to book an appointment manually for S.A in Lagos but no prior appointment for Abuja and Port Harcourt.

You cannot book and submit same day ooo. You book and come back like next 7 days. If someone wants to book for you. The person will have to go with your data page and book on your name.

Thank You.

Booking of appointment is not required for Abuja and port Harcourt centers. Booking is only done for Lagos.

please does anyone have idea about Visa processing time for port Harcourt Vfs center? Is it advisable to submit there?
