Governor Willie Obiano today paid a working visit to LAIP Omor Rice Field and the giant Rice Mill at Umumbo.
On arrival, the governor was conducted round the facility which is presently undergoing serious upgrade.
In his remarks, Governor Obiano revealed that the Rice Mill which has the capacity to mill fifty thousand metric tons of rice per annum will be u
pgraded to do 100,000 metric tons per annum.
He further disclosed plans by his government to partner the Federal Government to reactivate a major pumping system at Omor to assist farmers in the area plant rice all year round
