Hi Nairalanders,
I am having an issue that is really bothering me.

I lost my original WAEC result last month when fire broke out in the compound we stay.

Though am a graduate of Economics and wish to further my education to Masters level outside the country.

QUESTION
(1)Am aware WAEC won't print another one so what back up document do i need to show that i have misplaced it?

(2) With the current scenario in view, will it be possible to do my M.Sc in the UK, USA or outside the country since my WAEC original is missing?

Please if you have had such problems, please i need your advice on what to do.

Most schools abroad do reject supporting documents from naija cos of how useless n corrupt our system is. I once used waec result statement in doing one program abroad but on d long run I was ordered to get the Original copy. Subsequently they stopped accepting anything other than the Original result n Attestation. So u better hustle for solution or alternatively write Neco if u have enough time

had same issue bro nd visited their office today....thay gave two options
(1) its either u apply for certification which can be used in place of the original result nd to gt that, u need police report, court affidavit,birth certificate nd a bank draft of #20,000 ...i didn't bother to ask abt the account coz i knw i can't afford dat right now or
(2) anytime u re in need of the certificate, they give u a sealed and stamped parcel containing the result...but its jst single use nd i fgt to ask abt d price for dat

If I write NECO in 2018/or 2019 and my B.sc cert is 2012. won't that be questionable?

Wow...In that case, I will go to their office within the week. Its been quite frustrating. I have been denied several job offer due to this.

You can obtain your Waec certificate wether Lost or Damage, Names and D0B issues, Passport / Gender issues, forgotten registration number,
