You forgot to add

Coming back to Nigeria

Leaving Nigeria is a the best thing you can do, but sometimes the government propaganda can deceive you into thinking things are now better and you return here hoping to find some semblance of a normal life but the rude awakening shocks you back to reality that the life Nigerians live is subhuman

Don't believe the change the Nigerian government sells

Keeping your land documents with members of your family instead of the bank.

Is that true? What do think about the incident that happened this week, where the guy gave his immediate sister the documents for his land. Only to be deported suddenly and discover that the sister sold his land

Well. It's informative, even though I've never traveled out before, but am surely optimistic that somehow sometime I will surely do

Anyway have you ever notice this?
Nigerian Army has been training since I was a kid but have never had any war... Why can't they just organize a friendly match with Iraq or Pakistan?JUST THINKING

Mbok, keep it at thinking level, huh

All the points are very helpful:
That packing the wrong things is a good point. Know the local weather conditions where you're travelling to. Summer clothes are different from spring and winter wears. Avoid yourself the embarrassment of shaking like a goat cos you only came around with shirt and jeans. You would end up with unbudgeted expenses.
That travel adapter thing is on point. Once had a long over in Istanbul, had to watch in horror as my battery ran down, couldn't enjoy the airport free WiFi and was too stingy to buy an adapter for 10 Lira. grin angry
So what type of adapter will you advice for the Istanbul airport? i will have a long stop over there soon.
Re: Costly Mistakes To Avoid When Travelling Abroad by Mikeiron78(m): 1:38pm On Jun 06, 2018
Use deodorant so you don't get kicked off the plane for bad odor

They use 2 mouth sockets whose diameter is wider than our standard charger heads.
So I'd advice you get a rounded plug adapter. The pix below is a typical socket at the airport. You may be lucky to find someone with an extension though with whom you can charge.
