Many of their accounts align with a recent scientific study into the subject.

What happens to us when we die? It’s a question that has exercised humanity’s finest minds since those humans have been around to have them – and has been recently the subject of a number of groundbreaking scientific studies.

Now, a Reddit thread has posed the question specifically to those who have been clinically dead and then revived, and has received hundreds of responses.

Though the veracity of the answers has to be taken with a small pinch of salt, the answers from what essentially amounts to a large survey on the subject can be broken down into three categories.

There are those who felt nothing at all; those who had an experience of light and some interaction with another person/being; and those who felt they could watch what was happening while they were “dead” without being able to do anything.

The first group corresponds closely with the answers of a single Redditor who officially died twice and recently invited questions on the topic from other users.

The latter group, meanwhile, appears to agree with the work of Dr Sam Parnia, who sought out cardiac arrest patients and found that almost 40 per cent described having some form of “awareness” at a time when they were clinically dead.

Here is a taster of some of the Reddit users’ responses – which don’t seem to have produced a consensus on the topic just yet:

"I was getting an angiogram done, wide awake watching the screen and talking to the doctor. Alarms started to go off and everyone became panicked. My world became soft and foggy and everything faded to black. Next thing I remember was opening my eyes and hearing a Dr say "we got him back". It was really a peaceful feeling more than anything."

"I collapsed during a class presentation one day. All breathing and blood circulation stopped. I felt as if I was plummeting down an endless hole while my peers cried for help. I was revived and still have no memory of the little bit of time before and after my death."

"Overdosed on heroin, EMTs said my heart stopped. Didn't see anything, just like sleeping with no dreams."

"I collapsed at a work meeting in February 2014 and had no pulse or cardiac rhythm for about five minutes. My last memory was from about an hour prior to the incident, and my next memory was from two days later, when I emerged from a medically-induced coma."

"I flatlined for around 40 seconds. It was like falling asleep without dreaming, no sense of self."

My near death experience :

That was many years ago, can't remember the year, was in secondary school. I had typhoid fever, been on medication at home then, I passed out. I woke up to complete wetness of my clothes, they must have poured water on me, mouth was sweet from the honey they must've made me drink, I understand they were about gagging my mouth with a spoon before I woke up, then my dad rushed me to his car outside.

While I was gone, I remember vividly, very lucid what I experienced. I saw myself no physical body but it was me on a long, narrow corridor that leads straight on to a massive wooden door. The floor of the corridor was black and white square tiled and the walls on both sides, white. Aside that, everywhere else was plain. Have you ever looked out from the window and on the floor while the car is driving fast? You remember the rapid movement of the ground on which you're traveling? The speed of my movement could be likened to that. I was approaching the door with the speed of lightning! Finally, I was at the door. To my utmost surprise, my velocity diminished! I wanted to touch the knob and open, then Bam! I woke up! I never really did find out what was on other side of the door. I don't know whether to see this as a relief or a disappointment.
I have since lived with the memory. I am a product of His grace and R. Kelly's song on my mind right now.
'He saved me, gave me a second chance.'

Back then in Secondary school i tried fighting with a guy bigger than me , the first punch landed on my face and i fainted ...when i got up I didn’t remember anything...it took me time to remember what really happened around me...in fact someone had to explain to me why water dey my body.

The class was JSS 3. Yours truly was in a boarding school, terribly sick. That's the sickest I can remember ever being.

Everyone had gone for night prep, I was alone in the hostel, on my bed. I had not eaten for days, I couldn't sleep and was too tired to even move.

All of a sudden, everything around me blurred and turned black. I felt myself become very light and I levitated from the bed in the same position I was lying. I actually split into two cos my body was still on the bed.

All my pains vanished and I felt very free and completely at peace. I rose slowly to the ceiling, hovered for a while and then fell back right into my body.

I got up, opened my cupboard and took some cereal for the first time in about 3 days. The illness had miraculously disappeared. No drugs, no hospital, I was fit as fiddle.

I'm not making this up, it happened.

What happens when we die depends on the individual and the level of awakening of the soul.

Some people who have not upgraded their awareness will just sleep off. Others will move the next Earth or next 3D world.

Others who have achieved a more level of awakening will move to 4D which is like this one but has no gravity and Time. You can be anywhere at instant of thought.

Yet others will move a place of immaterial consciousness, where there is no physical things, everything is in energetic forms, no solidity and the vibration is higher.

You can learn to go through these worlds while physically alive and master them, so you can decide which to go when you eventually pass on.

This is the reason people learn Lucid Dream, then proceed to Astral Projection. It is real and humans are Spiritual Beings having Human Experience on a physical plane.

I have experienced different levels of these stuff. But I refuse to talk about sometimes, it will scare people. grin

What I mean is that no two people who die might have the same kind of experience at the death. Because most people have totally forgotten what this life is, due to the fact that most people live on survival mode. All we do is find food, water, cloths, housing, kids problems and other material things that we have forgotten what we are. So, we have no advanced our soul beyond the time with were born, in fact, we have clouded our memories with mundane things and totally lost the knowledge of the reason this planet was built and why we came.

So, at death most people are scared, then they blank out cos they do not even recognize the things the experience at death. One ends up settling at default locations in different realms that their energy body settles without any effort because most people have no knowledge of the other worlds and how to navigate there. They do not even have Spirit Guides.

Those who are serious about knowing the options available in the spirit world in other decide what is best for them, should start from learning Lucid Dreaming, then proceed to Astral Projection, then they can visit any place there want, like the moon, like the planets, then move on to alternate planes and then proceed to pure spirit worlds and master those levels and decide what is best for them.

That is what I mean. The White Light is just a portal to the Spirit World. Some people do not see the light and they end up roaming as ghosts here until a spirit guide comes to help them out, some of them roam for decades if not centuries. Lest I forget, there is also a fake white light, a technology of the Illuminati for Soul recycling which is different from reincarnation.

I've got to stop here. But note that we are not physical beings, we are interdimensional beings of spiritual origin but our body is just a device, a bio-electric technology designed to ground the spirit in physical plane without electromagnetic radiation hurting the spirit. So, it takes a lot of energy to move our body around, that is why hybernate every night to regain strength. Night is for sleep, not for clubbing. We are not animals, but we live in animal bodies. grin
