You are very right. This is also what the average Yoruba man believes, but since Goodluck Jonathan lost the last presidential election, Ibo people decided to chide Yoruba people for it. Why do they think Yoruba people should vote their candidate? Who are they to think Yoruba people must follow them to do whatever they intend to do? As you can see, Ibos did not vote for Abiola and a lot of Yoruba people did know till now. In fact many still don't know. And why is that? Below is 1999 election see how ibo vote go against Yoruba candidate but u won’t see Yoruba shouting betrayal for years like them. All Sw state voted for olu coz na our guy even Zamfara and Yobe voted him too but look at the igbo vote along with the Hausa vote and u will see a clear message Yoruba owes nothin to ibo facts

delta is majority uhrobo followed by the ijaw itsekiri and ibo. Ibo is minority in delta like Yoruba is minority in Kogi. About rivers I won’t go argue about the whether ikwere is ibo or not but I will say one of the reason for it’s creation was cause of the ijaws and back then in 1993 Bayelsa was still part of Rivers so with other tribe and ijaw ibo was minority in Rivers too.
