Well...as confident as I am in loving to cook, I am a little hesitant with making Nigerian food.
I am currently working on perfecting "egusi" and "ogbono" soups because they are extremely popular, can be made in larger quantities and is tasty if made correctly.
I know people would be happy with that as a meal.
It's very difficult to also find the ingredients that the soups require because the stores simply don't sell anything that's needed.
The nearest store for me would have to be in the state of Georgia....(Atlanta specifically).
You dont have international food stores where you are?

Yes. I keep a browser up on my phone and just refresh it.
Yeah, social media isn't really for me. I just actually completed a fb page and that was to prove I was a real person. But then it was a slippery slope bc I didnt have enough pictures or friends to prove that I was indeed real. Before then, it was just used for spying purposes.
I didn't want a page for privacy reasons. My former students wanted to keep in touch with me, but I was trying to be cautious cause you know all of the inappropriate cases between teacher and students....and I didn't want to risk my reputation/job.
It was better to avoid the appearance of something even "appearing" as inappropriate.

Lol @ "spying". You needed to spy on someone?

We have a couple here that are good. One is really nice bc all different ethnicities shop there. From African, Asian, and Hispanic. Its actually beautiful to see so many different other cultures shop at one place. Especially since my state is predominantly white.

Idk, it was more of a compulsion. Lol. I was just being nosy and didnt find fb useful enough to make my own page. Im happy to report, i have been cured of that. You know when youre young and dumb.

For the most part.
Our biggest problem is communication. We are both introverts ( yes im an introvert. Dont let my friendliness here fool you)and added to that differerent sayings and actions have different meanings.

Great answer!
But you know what?
Despite the communication challenge, you still see something worth exploring, so that's good.

What grade did you teach? And yes one must be very careful with social media pages especially fb. People are getting fired and all sorts of things for posts made. Even if i dont agree with you are saying, i dont understand how freedom of speech is not protected if its on your private page. I dont even play with it. Definetly something to watch coming soon. Im suprised there havent been lawsuits regarding it yet.

Yeah... I don.t trust the "privacy" thing with FaceBook...
Well the students were in 7th and 8th grade. But the school was a low-income public school where the kids were much older than their actual age.
The boys looked like young men.....and you know how teen-age girls can be.
Happy with you one minute...then angry and malicious the next so one never knows what they would try to do.
