A final year Sociology student of the Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State, has lost his life in an auto crash involving his 3-week old car, moments after telling a friend that the car wanted to kill him

Daniel Ilesanmi aka Smade, who just wrote is final exam and submitted his project, died this evening after losing control of th car which ended up being cut into two after veering off its lane and crashing into an SUV, along the Challenge – toll gate. .

One other person also died in the crash. Smade recently won the award of the “Multimedia Practitioner of the Year” in the Lead City University Awards which held in April 2018.

What?! People died in the SUV? The report said one other person and I assumed a passenger in his car.

Yeah. Sadly a couple in the SUV died while their two children survived.

The car that the asshat was driving is actually another salvaged junk car from Texas. Was probably ill-repaired and why he Tweeted earlier in the day that the car was trying to kill him. None of his airbags deployed.

The couple would have been protected by their SUV if it was a regular front end impact. But the Mazda was in the air when it slammed into the SUV and avoided all of it's safety features.

The vehicle that caused this accident has had a previous accident in Texas before being brought to Nigeria. Notice that no airbag deployed. Improper repair.

This was a 2004 Mazda 6, it was indeed imported to Nigeria in 2013 with a rebuilt salvage title, had a Texas-issued VTR-441.

Was involved in a collision in Austin in 2012, moderate reported damage. Retitled afterwards though.
