You are required to list everyone be it step-parent, step/half brother or sister.

If not for anything, at least they may need to claim points from you in future.

The below pics are from my own application.... I took pictures should they (my siblings)need more proof of relationship in future.

Cool. We learn everyday

Well the step siblings didn’t just drop from heaven, did they? They must have a father. LOL

There’s an option for Father and Step Father (I have both)

I would rather leave them all out actually but I saw on canadavisa forum it could be tagged as misrepresentation

I'm including both Bachelors and Masters because bachelors was over 10 years ago and so can't stay in personal history. I evaluated only masters.
Had my Bachelors btw 2005 to 2011 and a PGD between 2013 to 2015, then Masters 2016 to 2017. So while filling the express entry i have to include all of them and not just what i evaluated? Getting set to dive ooo..

Hi, please see my comments embedded in your post.

Please some questions for peers and seniors.

How detailed did you go in your personal history? Did you add activities such as choir, church society (catholics will understand this) etc? Especially when it's a proper chorale group and not just a church choir or if you are very involved in the church society and have done a lot of Facebook posts on their activities. You could say you're a member of the church but in my opinion, I do not think this is necessary to state.

If you owned and operated registered businesses while employed, did you add them? Except you're claiming partner/ director (not operational) in the business. Because it'd raise brows if you claimed to be in full employment and still had time in your hands to run a business.

Also how does one explain two full years of unemployment? Will oyinbo understand that in Nigeria it's common to jobhunt for 2-3 years after NYSC? Lol even Oyinbos jobhunt. You could say you were actively job hunting... in this case, membership of the church or any other registered association could come fill in the blanks.

Then, are you guys truthful about aliases? When they ask have you ever been known by any other name or alias, is there anyone who has ever put their social media alias (for instance nairaland moniker grin grin grin) Hell no!

Peace y'all and wishing you a fruitful week ahead.

Not me. Anything social and personal that did not impede a major activity during the period was not reported. They want me to report "Christian Mothers" activities? lipsrsealed So long as it is not recorded in any public forum where they can search and find it easily.

If you owned and operated registered businesses while employed, did you add them?
Can't relate.

Even the oyibos dey depend on their govt for benefits. Na them dey find work pass. Report the period as "job-hunting" Na work you no get. You no kill person. You can add your choir membership here.

Then, are you guys truthful about aliases? When they ask have you ever been known by any other name or alias, is there anyone who has ever put their social media alias (for instance nairaland moniker grin grin grin) For what naa? Everybody should maintain their lane plix undecided
Maiden name is enough.

Peace y'all and wishing you a fruitful week ahead.

I don't see how its relevant to them sef. It doesn't affect my work experience or source of income in anyway. I only added professional memberships (like NBA)

If you owned and operated registered businesses while employed, did you add them? This one is tricky. If its a proper registered business with an online presence or which will reflect money inflow to your account then you might have to declare it.

Also how does one explain two full years of unemployment? Will oyinbo understand that in Nigeria it's common to jobhunt for 2-3 years after NYSC? Your own is even good, as you want to put job hunt. I crested 'unemployed' in mine grin

Then, are you guys truthful about aliases? When they ask have you ever been known by any other name or alias, is there anyone who has ever put their social media alias (for instance nairaland moniker grin grin grin) I think the other name they are referring to are like married women changing names and all that. Not my nickname of 'babygirlforlife' grin

Peace y'all and wishing you a fruitful week ahead.
I wish you a blessed week ahead as well kiss

Newmum you indeed deserve several accolades. You are truly selfless. You go out of your way to help others without expecting anything in return. You respond promptly and you give detailed response too. PPR is just a tip of the Iceberg of what God has packaged for you. I rejoice with you Ma'am for your generation is blessed.

Hi House,

Thanks

Welcome. Let me try to answer your questions

1. Its common knowledge the US and Canada share information easily. Hence why they were able to detect the undeclared visa refusal. This also shows they have details of your US application, including the fact that you applied as married. I think the best you can do is come clean and apply with your single status and maybe submit an LOE and Affidavit declaring yourself to be single.

2. You couldn't have included it even if you wanted to because you haven't completed your studies. Even if you had, its not compulsory to evaluate all your degrees.

3. Its not a red flag but you do need to declare it under your personal history.

I wish you the best.

Please is this applicable to a situation where I have 3 direct siblings and 11 half siblings. Do I list all of them?

Yes. You have to list them all.

Who knows? they might need points from you in future (same way you could have gotten points from either of them)

My suggestions :

1. Get more work experience
2. Obtain a second degree
3. Marry someone who's under thirty, has a second degree, and can ace ielts.

I would advice you indicate only your masters while diving into the pool. Keep things as simple as possible for later.

After ITA, when filling you application proper, you can all three under educational history, indicate those that weren't evaluated. You'll be asked to upload supporting docs for all of them (certs for others and certs + eca for masters).

Alternately, since they're all within last ten years they can stay in personal history and only Masters (with which you're claiming points) stays in educational history.
