Also are the meanings of "abeg" and "biko" the same?
Don't they mean "please"?

So can one say, "Abeg, Give me dey paper, biko".
Isn't that saying "please" twice?

.....they are both used by the igbos, and are used mostly when the igbos want to make an exclamation...from my understanding chineke means God..lets say they receive an information or news and it is not too good, you hear them saying these words.

Okay...see that's where I'm having difficulty distinguishing sometimes between a tribe's words and just plain Pidgin English.
I've heard "chineke" and "chai" in some Nigerian movies...and also read it a lot here on Nairaland.

"Wahala" is Yoruba right?

"Wahala" is Yoruba right?
...yes wahala = trouble, and it is yoruba, joor means please in yoruba, pele means sorry in yoruba.

"Shakara" meaning showing out or acting "stuck-up"...is a Yoruba word?

Its a term that drivers use when they are communicating with the command base. It means ok or message received

yeah they mean same!

yes you fit use that word "abeg"

yeah sometimes using that word "abeg " and Biko to begin and end a sentence isn't that considered to be some kind of error, you can just choose to use it yourself ...

Ok. I got u. I knew what some of the words meant but got confused that the different words have the same meaning. Didnt put together that they were from different tribes

Awesome....
So for instance if I say this to you,

"Abeg, Martino, be a well-behaved young man biko..", then I would be correct right grin

Exactly...see that's where I'm having difficulty.
Learning a new language isn't gonna be easy...but I'm up for it!
You're gonna have to learn Pidgin and Yoruba .....
