I don't understand all this noise about June 12. Is June 12 going to give us steady power supply, good roads, good hospitals, good education system, reduce fuel to 97naira per litre, reduce exchange rate?

The only way to honour any hero of democracy is to fix the country and ensure that you provide the basic amenities that a responsible govt should provide. these useless APC useless elders need to stop these rubbish.

Nigerian youths too need to wake up and stop behaving like everything doesn't concern them.

There is a reason we have rules, laws abnd laid down protocol in our land. That is why it is called a democracy.

That one is willing to forego proper rules because of one's personal interests, emotional, sentimental or otherwise means that you will tolerate bending the riles as long as it favours you.

Mr Fala a, nobody said Abiola shouldn't be honoured but you by bending the rules are sullying the very essence of the so called fight for democracy...

Brother chill , what he said is simple and clear enough to sway in his favour any long running debate about the conclution or otherwise of the event of june 12 1993 elections and i must doff my hat for the legal luminary on this . For instance , a yearly marathon race had to cancel abruptly due to , say , a heavy rainfall when the distance between the runaway leader and finish line was 10 meters with the second place some 800 km further behind . Now would any one berate the organisers if they hand over the winners medal to the all but confirmed winner in an impromptu ceremony ? See it's common sense , the man deserved his SAN .

The government scrapped history from our curriculum and still put these epic events in d fore front of national news....how will the young generation understand wat is going on? These events should be enshrined in the sch curriculum and let ppl know that mko abiola was not a former musician or ex super eagles captain

Buhari scores a big political point with this.
Icing this would have been recognizing him officially as an ex-president with all his entitlement restored.

This is a fly in your face move by Buhari over his political enemies Babangida, Obasanjo and some of the other military leaders who were in on this illegal annulment, this annulment was sanctioned to get one of their own, an ex-general, to protect their investment and interest.

Kudos, good political move.

MKO Abiola(Yoruba) given National award.

His Vice (Hausa) given National award.

Chief Activist for d restoration of d mandate,Gani Fawehinmi (Yoruba) given National award.

INEC Chairman, Prof Humphery Nwosu ( Igbo) not given any award. This man conducted d freest & fairest election ever, even when he was told by the Military not to announce d result & even to discontinue d announcement of the result,he went ahead to be announcing it until d Military came there & arrested him & he still went ahead & announced Abiola d Winner of d election.But this man was never mentioned or even given a Village award by ds government. Remember that if this man had danced to d tune of the Military & not gone ahead to announce d result & said Abiola was d Winner of d election, there would not have been any ground for Abiola & Gani Fawehinmi to talk or be given awards now.

When Nnamdi Kanu talks, Igbos will even criticise him. This is for us to see how Igbos are taken in this country we all see be ours.
