Armed operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, have taken over security arraignment of the Supreme Court ahead of judgment in a suit by the Federal Government against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

The make or mar judgment is expected to be delivered by the apex court this morning.

DSS operatives blocked the road leading to the court and the Villa gate, turning back litigants and sympathisers of the self acclaimed IPOB leader.

Journalists accredited by the Supreme Court with official tags were also turned back from accessing the Court premises.

It took intervention of highly placed officials of the Court before the operatives grudgingly allowed newsmen.

The main entrance into the courtroom was blocked with an unmarked security vehicle where journalists were thoroughly frisked before being allowed entry.

At the time of this report, the Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun-led panel is being awaited to make the decision of the court known.

The Supreme Court had, on October 5, slated today to deliver its judgment on the appeal that is seeking to compel the Federal Government to release the embattled leader of IPOB from detention.

A five-member panel of the apex court headed by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, okayed the matter for judgement, after counsel for both parties adopted their final briefs of argument.

No MNK no peace in SE and Nigeria. MNK is a bone in their throat. Your court has found him not guilty and because you have guns you still keep him.

He will become more powerful when he comes out.
For the slaves who love their chains, MNK is not the reason you are a slave.

Nobody has the guts he has.
A man who called Buhari a mad man while in the open court and still in detention, do you think such a person fears anyone. Think about that

He has a more ruthless follower who is not kind as Kanu. Ekpa is a ruthless figure. Todays judgement will determine a lot.

MNK should be released or granted bail already. Simon Ekperima is not helping matters either, Igbos na them be their own problem. Hate, corruption and tribalism no fit make them unite. MNK has done his part, i believe when he is finally a free man, he would learn to use his head

The DSS is taking this case personally. Is there any underground plot against the Igbos that his freedom will undermine?

The unity of Nigeria should be negotiated. It mustn't be on the force of arms. We can't continue this level of tribal wars and remain one country. It is either we kill State of Origin and adopt the State of residence or we Confederate.

Seriously I will advice Asiwaju to obey whatever Judgement the supreme court delivers today.
Nnamdi Kanu isn't a threat to the Unity of Nigeria,he's only amplifying what he sees as the injustice done to the people of the South-East, albeit in a manner that's dehumanizing.
His approach to using violence to agitate for the perceive injustice is where I totally disagree with him.
The government must make its case around statement credited to him urging the use of Violence to cripple the state, that I believe is what he should be punished for.
I know many people will disagree with my Submission, but we must never try to equate Nnamdi Kanu to the same level as Boko Haram or Iswap territorist in the North, there's nothing ideological in what Nnamdi Kanu is preaching.
I'm sure obeying the Judgement of the Supreme Court today by Asiwaju will go a long way in reassuring the people of the South-East that violence doesn't pay,it will also be a big win for the citizens.
It shows the Judiciary is indeed the last hope of the common man in its fight against the government,l also hope the DSS will not rearrest Nnamdi Kanu if the Supreme Court decides to release him today.
God bless Nigeria.
