Governor Dickson on Wednesday, the 13th of June, honoured the St. Jude's basket ball group - 5 time champs of the Milo Girls Basketball competition.

These courageous young ladies have won this competition for five consecutive years, an accomplishment that has earned them a space at a similar international tournament in Athens. By this, the St. Jude's Girls Secondary School basket ball team will fly the Nigerian and the Bayelsan flag in Greece.
Governor Dickson expressed delight at their dedication and stated the commitment of the government in line with the government's youth development policy to continue to provide the enabling environment for human capacity development.

Governor Dickson ordered the quick overhaul of the sports offices in the school to facilitate their preparation for the forth coming international competition. The Governor also presented a handsome cash award to the champions on behalf of the government.

In accordance with this, the Governor equally rewarded two students from the Ijaw National Academy and St. Jude's Girls Secondary school respectively who both competed and secured seats as junior parliamentarians.

A day in their lives they will never forget, this is the kind of reward system we need in this country, where u'll reward people for their efforts and commitments in their various fields. If they get the adequate support and coaching, they will represent this country when the time is right. well done sir.

The only problem now becomes continuation of what Governor Dickson have started, but i pray that the next man in power will continue from where the transformation have stop unto the future. We really need to start working on young athletes in this country that will make our country proud, and i see Governor Dickson on the field of developing and equipping the young with the spirit of sportsmanship.

This is the kind of Governors we need in Nigeria, but unfortunately APC they are failures,Governor Dickson is really doing well in Bayelsa State,this shows the rulling party how kind PDP Governors are. PDP Governors are working hard to fulfilled their promises,i here by say i like their actions and how they execute their projects without wasting of time.
