Mujtahida:at this stage of the world cup, its all about getting the required points to move to the next round, in afcon 2013 we played rubbish in the first round and started played good football from the quarter finals Iceland was not ready for any fanciful play with the argentines but to get the required point and they got it, that is how clever teams play at this level. What did even portugal played against spain except the individual brilliance from ronaldo which gave them the need point. |

Since Nigeria lost to Croatia, i have lost interest in watching any other game at the world cup. Although i watched all the early games before Nigeria's game. Now i have lost the vibe to watch any other until probably our next match. Nigeria should not end my worldcup this early o. Who else is in my shoes? |

ykalhaji:Kaiii soetanoreoluwa I need this guy as my partner as team psychologist. Remove that Congo abeg. Deep my guy. The team developed paranoia around set pieces. O my if only this team knows how to take captive of every high thought and scatter negative strongholds. To hell with fear! Against Iceland, let them be ready to die. That's the only thing that would guarantee qualification. |

Oasis007:He is the only box to box player in that team, he has the best work rate. He knows how to dribble, he knows how to shoot. In totality, he has at least a bit of every player except a goalkeeper. From mad tackling to explosive pace. Is this reason enough? |

Oasis007:I swear, you get am Na wetin I don dey reason since afternoon, what is so wrong with Kelechi playing SS to Ighalo? We don't have the personnel to play a single forward. If our lone striker was a Lukaku or Costa, you can try that, but Ighalo doesn't have the mass, nor the strength to pull their moves. He doesn't even have height. Field a taller Kelechi with nimble feet and watch the pressure subside from Ighalo. Rohr no dey too reason na wetin make and Salisu is just a minus 1 in that Technical department. |

if we go back we will perhaps understand Rohr's hesitancy in using the 3-5-2. i posit that the 3-5-2 system used by Rohr against Argentina was merely fortuitous. he stumbled upon it rather than thought it out.why do i say so?against Argentina Ighalo was injured, the two Moses were injured. Thus Rohr had no option than to try out the 3-5-2 especially since it was a friendly. Ohhhhh but it seemed the gods of soccer had decided to hand him a gift when he least expected it. but Rohr has refused to accept the gift of the gods cos he is always reacting with the tactics rather than using it from the get- go. 3-5-2 is the tactics of circumstances and not Rohr's tactics. seems circumstances will prove more stubborn than Rohr and force him once again to use the 3-5-2. then shall the word of Marcus the mystic come to pass. lol |

From @NekuEA "The treatment of the Super Eagles, after only their first match, is why people are absolutely terrified to fail in Nigeria! It is a game, you win some, you lose some- but we must be committed in our support for our national team. #NaijaAllTheWay" I laugh at the many shameful comments condemning this team. It is a pity. So if your child comes back feeling sad after having a bad day in his first paper at school, what you will do is to castigate him and bring him down abi... Especially when this same child is one that has shone in previous classes before now. What motivation is he expected to carry into his next paper when the reaction is calling him a failure already and a waste of space, unserious and all. This is really really good. This loss has exposed us all. Well done people. Now I know the extent to which each and every moniker can stand by this team. #SoarSuperEagles #IStandWithTheEagles #WeDontGiveUp |

Bolowolowo:I LOVE IT. But 1.I will prefare Moses to play the left wing back, he has speed loves to run with the ball and is a treat going forward and can also recover faster than Idowu when he loses the ball. 2.Etebo is needed in that midfield to add steel to it, so I will play a trio of Etebo-Mikel-Ndidi along side Moses and Ebuehi as the two wing backs. 3. IWOBI will play along side Iheanacho in a false Nine system. We can beat any team with this formation if the boys are determined and bullish in their approach UZOHO OMERUO-BALOGUN-EKONG EBUEHI-NDIDI-MIKEL-ETEBO-MOSES IWOBI-IHEANACHO |

England dey play 3-5-2, Tunisia dey play 4-2-3-1.. and Rohr talk say we couldn’t play 3-5-2 because Croatia dey play 4-2-3-1.. Wasn’t it the same 3-5-2 England started against us? Then he had to switch to match them. Rohr plays to accommodate and neutralize, he doesn’t play to win. |

TheLoneCitizen: ![]() My Brother from another Mother won't kill me tonight with Laughter. Are you saying you need Box2Box Midfielder in a 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 Formation.....?! LMAO! The 2 DMs are meant to shield the Defence and cover for the overlapping Wing-backs, thus you do not need a B2B Midfielder coz you play more on the Wing, occasionally through an AM who plays free-role with major responsibly of linking the Defence to the Attack, as well as creating Goals if Opportunity beckons. Mikel can't play for 90mins Bruh, hence your favored Player (Etebo) can come in to replace him or Iwobi in the 2nd Half. Moreso, Etebo thrives not as a DM or CM rather as a RMF, LMF, SS, RW, LW - in short he's utility Player. He's simply a makeshift DM/CM in GWG just like Shehu as a RB. |

Nne, did somebody steal your handle or did you really post this with your eyes wide open? So with this your ideal formation, we should have: VicMo, Iwobi, Kelechi, and Ighalo in the field at the same time? In the name of playing with a "support striker"? That's like playing with 4 forwards. And you'll just surrender the midfield to Croatia, right? C'mon Kelechi Iheanacho is a striker. So it's either him or Ighalo, not both. O pari safarigirl: |
