mgbadike81:Your statement just exposes your ignorance of the Zamfara terrain So you expect gunships to take off and land in the sandy desert terrain without damaging the weapon systems? You expect delicate bombs to be loaded on the aircraft on the rough desert terrain? Are you even aware that Zamfara lacks an Airforce Base and does not have an airport, so how can the operation go on without a helipad no matter how brief it is? Your desperation to debunk this report is so unashamedly obvious hence I don't expect you to reason rationally without bias, just a waste of time. Goodbye. |

QuotaSystem:What concerns airforce with bandits, if they ain't a threat to our national integrity and hence terrorists? What the job of the police? Stop been politically myopic based on religion or ethnicity. Learn to speak the truth based on your integrity and for posterity sake. If saying the truth makes me a waiver, then I'm not only wailing but weeping for my beloved country. From your Monika, I cannot expect anything sensible or tangible from you! I will not dignify you with a response if you mention/quote me again. |

Dumb as usual. They don't watch the news, carry out research or do a quick check in when they see any news item. They are always at the sports betting shop. It was all over the news (TVC, Channels and NTA) when the unit 207 QRG commissioned the helipads to serve as base for Mi-24 and Mi-35 gunships. And they have started the operations against criminal elements from the Birnin Gwari and Funtua- Gusau Road who attack villages and rustle cattle. Learn to read before you make a public show of your ignorance. Na lie, na lie... yen yen yen mgbadike81: |

If it was any state in the US that called up its National Guard to take on an escalation of criminal activities, you would give them thumbs up and cite them as a standard for other nations to live up to. But here you are making a fool of yourself arguing without understanding what the responsibilities of the police and armed forces entails in securing the lives and properties of citizens. Argue till the death. Na who get head for uninformed argument headache go worry AceRoyal: |

AceRoyal:The answer is basic common sense not beer parlour propaganda based on warped logic; akin to a person who saw a cow as having four legs then subsequently was shown a dog and assumed it too was a cow because it had four legs. The two scenarios i.e. IPOB vs Herdsmen/Bandits are not the same, as neither the immediate threats they pose to the Nigerian state the same nor the remedy required to addressed them the same. IPOB's objective and modus operandi was to threaten the corporate existence of the country, through excision of a significant part of its terrorial integrity, using/threatening armed uprising and physical/psychological terror and warfare to achieve it. Secondly, IPOB was an internationally organised registered group, with traceable leadership and structure; including formalised uniformed secret police, recruiting wing, a radio station spreading hatred and malicious propaganda; it was also operating as a quasi government with it own currency and passport, collecting taxes and raising revenue from its ppl while openly soliciting for money to procure weapons to unseat the Nigerian government - the evidence are still out there in the internet for all to see. IPOB thorough the above mentioned and its naive rancid propaganda (via its outspoken Dilector Kanu) out played and exposed itself to internationally recognised legal framework available to the government to legitimately describe and subsequently proscribe it as a terrorist group. Note, a terrorist group doesn't necessarily have to be armed or start killing; the mere threat of such action can be sufficient enough to classify it as such - apparently Nigeria/Nigerians felt sufficiently threatened to act accordingly (no thanks to Kanu's numerous vitriolic speeches). On the contrary there is no legal framework in existence that warrants the classification of a group of bandits or herdsmen (based on ethnicity alone) without any ideology, organisation or formal structure except for the motivation of crime against certain individuals or groups as opposed to threatening the entire corporate existence of the country - irrespective of how deadly they may actually be to those individuals/groups. If that were the case then any ethnic criminal group may be exposed to such classification/labelling e.g Igbo Drug Pushers, Fake Drug or Spare Parts Merchants etc. Besides, even recent police list of the bandits caught in Kaduna/Zamfara revealed an ethnic profile that comprised not only Hausa-Fulani but also other tribes such as Igbo and Yoruba, either as gang leaders or members among the culprits involved. Yes indeed, the police are constitutionally responsible for quelling acts of internal aggression; however, when they become overwhelmed the Army/Air force/Navy can be invited to assist them; such as the current case in Zamfara and elsewhere - this is consistent with our national security policy not peculiar to the present administration alone. Yes again the government may have classified the war against Boko Haram as 'low intensity'; kindly explain how that could have affected the continued classification and treatment of Boko Haram by the same government as a terrorist group? Note; the only difference between Boko Haram and IPOB is the fact the former had gone beyond threatening to actually putting it into action; while the latter was stopped before it carry out its threat under the doctrine of preemptive action - since treason and attempted treason are serious offences carrying the same penalty. |

How will my post sound "sensible" to you when your bigotry driven hatred for the Government will always make you weep whenever good news breaks, even when its for the peace of the country?
