I thought i was the only one that noticed that especially in goal.com's facebook page.

Those whites and some stupid african brothers most especiallyUgandanswere not happy that we won..

Even before the match, i saw some africans (the haters) bashing Nigeria super Eagles, saying all manner of rubbish about Nlgeria not winning..

In the midst of my jubilation that nigeria won, I got irritated when an african fool possible from uganda said we win out of luck that we are going to be whipped by argentina..

Even the foreign page was post stuff if argentina can win us, we made it easy for argent...... Bla bla bla

the comment section was worst..

No body seems to be praising nigeria except Nigerians, majority of africans there, and few neutral whites..

Others who posed as majority were not happy with Nigeria..

I am messi fan .. I am only his fan at club level.. But in situation like world cup, i am a sore hater..

Because how whites are treating us, i would not be supporting any european club again.. I would watch their match but support would be in my pocket..

Not just them. Even the stupid Ghanaians, like that failed excuse of an actor called John dumelo.

They are not happy we won.

that is one of those things that hinder us {africans} from progressing..

You will see white team up against black..

Lo when some blacks team up against whites, other blacks will be fighting blacks from behind.

The commentator just couldn't hide his bias, all his analysis was about Iceland beating Nigeria, even after 80mins he was still talking about Iceland getting back into the game. The one I find interesting the most was when he said Nigeria will only win at fashion at the beginning of the first half, then repeated it again at the beginning of the second half just in case you missed it the first time It all made the victory sweeter anyway.

I thought I was the only one that heared that part or I heared wrongly grin
Re: Did Anyone Notice The Bias Of The Foreign Media Regarding Super Eagles Victory? by Heavance(m): 8:57am On Jun 23, 2018
What is bias there?
all our world cup matches against Argentina all ended up in defeat for us (4matches, 4defeats, 94, 2002, 2010, 2014, so is goal.com wrong?) is the op new in football or was he born 18yrs ago?
If those shaku shaku boiz end the bad record, then they will earn the reputation they want.

They think Argentina will win us grin because of that "favourites" and "big names" tag eventhough they all know Argentina is one of the worst teams at the tournament.Lets not forget they also said Nigeria wouldn't beat Iceland and Senegal wouldn't beat Poland.Argentina should prepare for more heartbreak because they aren't even going to last beyond the first round at this mundial.More tears for their supporters loadinggrin

Maybe you can translate this message to the eagles.

blazer2018:
Even sky sports..."Messi's Argentina now have hope of progressing as Iceland lose to Nigeria...imagine dat... undecided
I see nothing wrong with it. Argentina has all the football pedigree. Nigeria is yet to prove itself. Question is will eagles live up to the hype or not??

Pls. Nigeria played rubbish at first half. No one even in the studio at half time said any meaningful thing about the eagles. The screen analyst said maybe the team would finally show up at World Cup 2022 certainly not this one.

0 shots on target ??

Nigerians like heroes so much. Maybe these people are desperate because their lives are basically shit. Just a moment of brilliance from one man and they are dancing all over the place forgetting we have not even qualified yet. The curse of the black man indeed...need for celebration at all cost... like a child. Later they lose...they curse all over again! SMH

Let me ask a question.
(Q) How do people respond to criticisms?
(A) By achieving more and more Success.

oga... Itz not this rubbish we are saying... you are talking off point, the point is, why will the headlines be "NIGERIA BEATS ICELAND TO GIVE ARGENTINA HOPE"...instead of "NIGERIA BEATS ICELAND TO KEEP THERE HOPES ALIVE"...its as if they were trying to say that ARGENTINA can play rubbish against other teams, but there "servant" NIGERIA can help them go through by losing.... that's a big insult to our football team, bit I hope we prove them wrong on Tuesday, so that you can lick your Argentine masters ass on there way to the airport.

Since you like asking questions I'll also ask you one. Do you know what happened in Iceland after the team played a draw against Argentina? I'll tell you; the whole country went into national jubilation. The media was flooded with talks about how a small country has come to Russia to prove a point. In fact businesses, both private and governmental, closed early for the second match so that people will get home early to view it. All that jubilation was for a draw, in the very first match, but you feel we shouldn't celebrate a win?

Another question. How many times has the brilliance of one Messi given Barcelona defining victories? Countless times. By the way, was it Musa that saved the free kick in the first few minutes of the game, or the the close range shot that followed shortly after? Was it Musa that held a tight defence? Was it Musa that struck the bar from wide range? Was it Musa that delivered the cross that Musa converted? Or you don't think all those were brilliant efforts too?

I think the real curse of the black man is the belief that everything he does, or doesn't do, is directly influenced by something called "the curse of the black man"

Yeah. a team composed of farmers, fishermen, salt producer and an infamous movie producer in the person of the goal keeper, and making their ever first appearance at the World Cup... WHY NOT? that is their history...Not taking anything from Musa or the team. far from it.

Forget Western media. Focus on YOUR OWN media...Afterall, it was one of your news outlet yesterday that said "Nigeria Melts Iceland"
..To me the celebration is WwAyyYY overdone! A victory securing our place in the next round, over Argentina would be worth celebrating.

You are appraising yourself NOT looking at how OTHERS are celebrating or what OTHERS say about you..and that is the difference between ME and you TWO..talk of servitude!

Instead of duly giving Nigeria their deserved praise for beating Iceland and giving themselves a shot at qualification, most foreign media outlets decided to make the super eagles victory all about Argentina.
Headlines like " musa shines to give Argentina hope" are on every foreign sports tabloid as opposed to "musa shines to give Nigeria hope".
That's how the commentator during Croatia vs Argentina kept assuming that Iceland would beat Nigeria.

Don't mind them they despise Africa but ironically majority of Africans will refuse to have sense and stupidly follow them to despise themselves. Pathetic.

I believe there is time for everything. The team is in serious tactical crisis. We lost our first match woefully. The coach took the risk of changing his game plan mid-way the second match and it payed off. We are put back in play by a hare's breath. Is this the time to talk of 'commentator/media' bias??

Truly, this is insecurity. If Nigeria is defeated by An European team, the headlines would be centered around Nigeria by African media. Completesports might say "Nigeria waste chances has Belgium feed on scraps." But in Europe, the headline would be centered around Belgium, "Mighty Belgium trounce lowly Nigeria".

Iceland is an European team, so European papers will be bias to them, on the other hand Nigerian and African papers will inscribe us into sands of time.

You don't understand white racism. The better or more powerful you are as a black person/nation, the more they hate you and want to bring you down. The weaker you are, the more they 'love' you. The reason they hate Nigeria is because we are always a threat and are a big, resourceful, proud black nation. Africa's biggest nation. If it was say Ghana or Cameroon in our place, they would be more accommodating of them. See how nice they've been to Senegal? If we qualify ahead of Argentina, it will only make them oppose us more in the next game.

the foreign media were extremely biased,i noticed it too,the commentor was mocking nigeria on many occassions even on supersport commentary,at halftime the anchor and the other white guys were making jest of nigerias slow paced game, seems like they didnt know they were on air or they did it deliberately, they were mocking nigerias slow game, even aljazeera news didnt talk about nigerias victory in their sport segment news, they only relish in bad news about Africa.Nigerians should wake up to these and be careful about western ideas and media, they hate us

Anybody that watch how Nigeria played the first match and the first half of the Iceland match will say nonsense about the SE.
The eagles are too afraid to even play, the coaching crew needs to work on the team.
What the eagles are LACKING is self confidence, thank God they managed to find their rhythm in the second half.
Eagles always get better with every match they play, I see eagles seeing Argentina off on Tuesday.
There are no minnows at this world cup, did anyone see how the big teams were being stretched beyond limits before they could get points.
The Eagles are going to PEAK in this tournament and Nigerians will be proud of them.
