and Omeruo error almost cost us a goal , he forced Ebuehi to commit foul . MY fear for Omeruo is lack of concentration ... sometimes he can just mess up all his effort with just one error .

Omeruo didn’t force Ebuehi to make dat mistake because Omeruo already shielded the player and ball was already going out before Ebuehi committed that foul.

In short, it was a blunder out of inexperience.

PsyKolo What?

How can you ascertain his psychology that day? He can play the role but I have no doubt Victor Moses will offer more offensively and defensively for the team in that role.
First, Moses hasn't got the best off the ball movement to play as a SS.
Secondly, Moses aint a better finisher than Musa.
Thirdly, Moses' awareness of the spaces around him and how best to exploit them is basically Zero.
So, nope, Moses can't play that role. He's best used as a wingback. Dribbling isn't all it is to a game. If it were, Emre Mor would be the best talent out there.

I am always up for the better than depending on chance.

The simple question is, who has better abilities and quality to deliver those runs, have skill and also contribute defensively, it is Moses. Then play the better person. Ebuehi is prolific on the right wing back role. Settled.

Three things

1. Moses will fall, fall and fall if he plays in place of Musa... Falling is guaranteed!!

2. If he isn't falling, then he is busy dribbling himself out of scoring position... That is also guaranteed..!

3. If he is not doing either of those, then he will shoot over the bar...

So how exactly is he going to do a better job than Musa?

Moses is needed more from the middle or from either of the wing backs to be the link up we so need between the middle and the attack

Please tone down on your idea... Musa is better where is and so is Moses

I do not believe I know more than Rohr. You can make your point without malignant response.

Musa being tired or not was not the response but setting up the team to conserve a two goal lead. Nacho contributes more defensively than Musa. So Musa had to be the one to go out. Not tiredness. Also, John Ogu will bring more stability at the back with Etebo dropping deep to help support the midfield in defending.

Thank God you are not the coach.

Have you seen Musa in a SS role? If not, then watch him for Leicester against Barca in the same role. This is no form or moment, it's simply what Musa is capable of.

Put him on the wings and he will run into dead alley as well become susceptible to narrow space when closed down on the wing but in the centre, he's a different beast. His movement, anticipation and awareness are off the chart and the best in the team. And no, Moses nor Iheanacho can't ever replicate such.

I wonder where I said Iheanacho can replicate such. I always point that Iheanacho is better in off-the-ball runs than on-the-ball. You just put that to create a fake impression of my opinion. I said Iheanacho adds defensive attributes to our team. His pressing and ability to drop to the middle to creates space makes Nacho a valuable asset.

Not ready to start digging posts but repeatedly I have called for Musa to play as a striker instead of the wings. He is good running at goal. Just as I have said the same of Onyekuru.

Down to Moses, the tag Joker of our team comes with immense brilliant displays in the team. There are things he can do Musa can not do. Ability wise, Moses is far ahead of Musa. Also, Moses also has high defensive attributes and can contribute in helping the team defend in a better fashion.

You make it look as if all Moses does is fall. Did Moses become Rohr's joker of the team by falling?

Musa showed the same selfishness we criticise Moses for but all are hale and hearty because of the goal. I pointed that Moses selfishness will be more appreciated in the forward role.

The point is simple and made.

Ebuehi did well no doubt, even better than Idowu managed especially with his drive forward, but he should be cautioned on giving unnecessary fouls away.
He committed a handball in the penalty area which was waved by the referee before the penalty incident.

The handball was not his doing, very unintentional. His eyes were away.

For the PK, inexperience showed and the wrong foot too. I think he's better off as RWB while moses mount the LWB.
Seems Idowu is afraid of going forward.

Moses and Nacho combination of front will bring a mixture of pace and skills. Both players have good defensive attributes to make the us track back when we lose the ball upfront.

Despite Musa's impressive performance against Iceland, I still pick Moses.
Musa should continue from where he stopped. He's surely brimming with confidence now. Moses too can do his thing from WB.

We got under pressure with the Iceland players pushing for a goal. Taking out one of the work horses of the team in the midfield for Iwobi who contributes less in respect of tracking, marking and Tackling was clearly a wrong option.

Etebo was already tired and he needed a rest.

He was subbed in the last 10 minutes of the game. Iwobi came in to take his place was spot on.

We almost scored the 3 goal with him on the pitch. Now, that scared the hell out the Icelandic and reduced the pressure on us.

My point is so simple that I wonder why it is hard to understand.

Next time, passing is the better option. Musa took the harder route of skinning the Goalkeeper instead of passing to Iheanacho. I said good we scored but Rohr should work on Musa to know that passing is the better option in such situations.

Gerrit?

Let's flip the scenerio and Iheanacho was the one that took the path Musa did and Musa was the one begging for the ball, I know you would be singing a different song. Hahaha.

Moses has more to offer the team. He did not become the joker of the team playing the wing back role.
why are you like this...?
you wanna tamper with this team....?
the team never played badly...
I explained to a friend the reason for the lethargic performance in the first half...was because of the novelty of the 3-5-2
during the second half they gradually settled into the game....and exploded. now you wanna change the team just to make way for your fantasy moses abilities....

Stating that Moses should replace Musa in his position is bullshit because Moses has nothing to offer in that role. We all saw his abject display in the same role against England and Czech in the friendly match. His movement and linkup play are simply zero and I'm sure Rohr reviewed our match in the 2 friendly matches to have come to his decision of playing Musa in the role because Musa was more impressive when he came on for Moses in the 2 matches.

Secondly, if we're talking of 'off the ball game', Musa is still better than Iheanacho in the same regards. So come off Musa back already 'cos I don't know why you're hell bent on making negative remark when he was our best player.

Lots of penalties have been flying around in this world cup. I'm guessing FIFA's major sponsors pushed FIFA to make rules which will encourage more goals.
Another day, it could have been 2 pens against Ebuehi.

In a more compact midfield, Idowu can cause damage with his forward runs. Ebuehi is more menacing on the right. He offers more on the right than left. The key is the compactness of the middle. Keep in mind in the set up, we have everyone having a good ability to fall back and help the defence. We have the best of both Worlds in the set-up.
Idowu was poor. I don't even think he made a single tackle yesterday and was part of the reason Iceland was having joy on our left flank in the first half. Ebuehi was far better both attacking and defensive wise.

If Mexico wins this game they get 6 points but they can still crash out. How?

Sweden won their first game against S/Korea and are on 3points.

If Germany beats Sweden later today we have:

Mexico 6pts
Germany 3pts
Sweden 3pts
S/Korea 0pts.

Last game:
Germany Vs Korea
Sweden Vs Mexico.

If Mexico should lose that game and Germany beats Korea, depending on the final goals difference Mexico can crash out.

My point: Some times 6points may not guarantee you qualification. And meanwhile sometimes too 3points may see you through.

I also rate Awaziem highly and keep in mind Ranieri said Awaziem is very good dealing with aerial threats too. So you can not blame those who rate Awaziem higher.

They are both quality and I hope with time we do a proper screening process and select the right three for our central defense line.

I concur with the first sentence. Awaziem is very good at setpieces from crosses. He is good in the air.

But I am not sold on him in the CB position. I will rather play him on the back wings or as a DMF.

Writing that my point is bullshit does not mean any thing. Moses has made repeated runs for us. Moses has scored two in a match and won man of the match. He also has more attributes including defensive attributes Musa does not have better than Moses. Musa is not a better dribbler.

I have made my point.

What intrigues me most about Musa is that at just 25, he has
1. played 2 world cups
2. married 2 wives
3. numerous children
etc.
