I have been seeing a lot of tutorials here on Ecommerce, ranging from the building of your own shopify and woo commerce stores, to the use of Amazon stores (General stores and print on demand stores) and even the use of teespring. And I must say most of these tutorials have been awesome.

One thing I have however noticed is the fact that these tutorials do not provide advanced promotional instructions. And there's no way you can actually succeed with Ecommerce without effective promotion of your goods. In short I would say that promotion is like 75% of the whole Ecommerce business.

It is for this reason that I am going to start a series on some of the effective promotional methods you can use as a seller. Both free and paid methods.

Interested people should indicate here so I will start with the tutorial.

Note: I'm not here to teach you about the basics of Ecommerce, you can get the basics from other threads. All I'm going to be teaching here are promotional methods

I am going to talk on both free and paid means of promotion and how effective they are.
The first means of promotion is the use of Facebook Gorups (Least Effective)
This method of promotion is for those that do not have any money to spend money on advertising. For example, people using free print on demand sites like Teespring. This method of promotion however works with every type of product you may want to sell because there is surely a group on Facebook that contains people that are interested in whatever product you are selling. There is a group for everything on Facebook.

What you are going to do is to join these groups and post your products a few times (Do Not Spam or else you will get banned)
The more time you spend joining and posting to groups, the higher your chances of getting your products in front of potential customers who will in turn buy your products.

For example if you sell baby wears, there are a lot of mommy groups on Facebook that you can post your products to. Just search and you will be amazed at how many groups you will find

To make things easier for you, you can search for and download a free Facebook auto group poster software online. It will automatically join and post to groups for you so that reduces the workload on you.

The next free method I'm going to share is the use of reddit.
This is very useful for those using the print on demand method.
Reddit is a good source of targeted traffic if you past the right things in the right subredditts.

There are testimonies of people who earn as much as $1000 from a single subredditts post.

What you are going to do here is to look for subredditts that contain people with a passion for something. For example, a subredditts for dog lovers. Then you are going to post your t-shirt there and if it's catchy enough, I can assure you that you will get unlimited traffic.

Now these are the basic and efficient free methods to use. I am going to start the highly efficient paid methods soon.

So the next method is a partially paid method and it is very efficient and targeted.
It involves the use of Instagram and it is divided into two parts

The first part has to do with the use of Instagram influencers.
These are big Instagram accounts relating to your niche. This method is short term and is very effective. What you are going to do here is to message these influencers, telling them that you want them to promote your products on their page. They will charge you fee but ensure that you try to negotiate with them to give you a reasonable fee.

Also ensure that the page you try to promote on has a high engagement rate and is highly related to your niche.

If you get this right, you're sure to earn massively from the sales of your product.

The second part is long term and very effective too. Will be continued soon.

As for the second part of the Instagram tutorial, this is more long term and it requires growing your accounts.
This is for those that own a brand and want to build it. Once you grow an account, you can continually promote to your followers and continue earning from them. This method however needs time and patience as growing an account does not just happen in one day.
There are many free guides on account growth online. While this method is time intensive, it is one of the best sources of targeted traffic for your brand and if you get it right, you can continually promote to your followers and earn massively.

This method is for those that are a bit advanced in Internet marketing and if you're just starting out, I will not advise you to use this method unless you have done indepth research into how it works. Failure to do this will just result in heavy loss of money.

There are two popular methods of Facebook advertising, there's the general ad method and the custom audience method. But whichever one you decide to use, if you don't get your targeting right, you will only loose a lot of money. If you however venture into intense research and you get this method right, the sky will be your starting point as regards earnings. This is due to the fact that Facebook has a large audience base and with the right targeting, the possibilities are endless
