don personal experience if it xiaomi phone is stolen and u know u will go and track it my advice is DON'T GO TO UR MI ACCOUNT AND ACTIVATE LOST MODE ( IN OTHER WORDS SONT LOCK IT) the reason for this is simple the person won't be able to unlock ur phone ( especially if he or she is a Rockie) and use another sim card on it.
and trust me u need a SIM card to be inserted into d phone for it to be trackable!!

First thing I am thinking of is mounting it as part of phone memory. But what happens if it is illegally removed from the device?
