Personally no. Rohr is not creative and attacking enough to take our football to the height we can reach. His match reading skill is not sharp enough to note some basics.

Pulling Nacho out for Ighalo was Reducing the sum of our speed. What we needed was to increase our tempo.
My question, what prompted Iheanacho substitution for woeful Ighalo.

Yes you are right on Rohr.

Who is with me on this?

Click like for Rohr to stay and share for him to be sacked.
If he will be staying, we need to overhaul the back room staffs.

Just like Harry Kane goal in that friendly, Uzoho reacted slow to Rojo's strike. He has a slow slow reaction to me.

But he is far from the top 3 I'd like to blame.
Yes he is too slow, little wonder he was able to save the same freekick Enyeama conceded last four years with the tip of his fingers grin

Genoth To Stay.

Egbon, I'm very surprised at you Sir

Rohr is reponsible for our early ouster

A better coach could've gone farther with the resources and free hand given but not Rohr

He picked his players, he picked Ighalo, Onazi, Idowu......and other pretenders

Does that mean we didn't have better?

Even during games, he hardly made subs when it mattered. You're still saying he should stick around

Did you not watch the Colombians and Mexicans play? Their coach instilled confidence...not Rohr (Mr "we are the underdogs"wink

He went ahead with an underperforming Ighalo and an Unfit Onazi......yet he should stay and be collecting money our local coaches were not supported with

It states so in his contract that we desire Quarter-finals

Please, he should go. This is a man that is not tactically sound. Now you think our FBs like Akpoguma and Udhokai would want to play for us nowhuh? Never

Looks like Tammy Abraham would be having his last laugh now.

Smh.........

Lol. thank God you referred to the big games in the past tense.... the present tense of Onazi is his game Vs England. The present tense of Joel Obi is the Congo game.
Players do have bad games and you can't judge them by just that.

Forget, they could have done something.

Abi, why we carry dem go world cup.

Anyway, I hope Rohr has learnt his lessons if he wants to stay.

I somehow changed my mind Rohr stays until after the outcome of our qualifiers and AFCON.

It was a disappointing result but I'm proud of the boys.. they tried.....
I won't blame Rohr much for bringing on Ighalo. Iheanacho was poor in the first half but I can bet my two balls that Iheanacho would have scored one of the two chances Ighalo missed... When he came on and started with his usual rubbish I knew we were in for it.
We have a team that was capable of putting up a good showing at the WC,but Rohr messed it up with his stupidity.. if NFF should sack him,I won't.mind at all... if he stays, he must do away with the habit of favouring certain players in the team...
A squad overhaul is needed...
Ighalo, Akpeyi,Echijele, Idowu, Onazi and Joel Obi should just retire from national team football.. they aren't needed at all.
Ogu,Mikel,Shehu and Balogun roles in the team should b limited.. Balogun's lack of pace was really exploited by the argies today.. He can still stay with the team, but maybe the Oyibo wall should be disbanded.. we will be needing some proper full backs too... Shehu should b dropped back to midfield... Ebuehi and Aina should take the right back..I'm sure.we can find some good.left backs in our league... Ebude Duru or Ikuowem Udoh won't be bad...

Let's put Qatar 2022 aside for now and focus on qualifying for the AFCON...

the team gave their best but moving to the next round wasnt meant to be. the future of the team is very bright but few legs have to be dropped. ighalo was the biggest culprit and his days seem numbered in the team. victor moses attitude have been suspect and its high time he decides if he wish to continue with the team. in uzoho i think our problem of searching for a goal minder have been settled but quality competition for the position will be a welcomed development. mikel played his heart out and i doff my hat out for him. iheanacho seem to be a shadow of his old self i needs to sit ASAP. finally i urge the nff to retain rohr, he has done much in just a little while and have been able to assemble a team with so much promise and prospect. the team is out but the future of the team is very bright. we win together and we win together. well done boys, thank you rohr!

It would have been a different story Had Ighalo taken a straight shot? He must have bend it at an angle below 25 degree to have missed that goal.

Ighalo must have been poor in Mathematics. His construction is nothing short of D!

Even a 90degee shot would have resulted into a goal. Almost the same place Musa was.

HHad Ighalo come in before that penalty, am sure we won't have gotten it.

We later changed to 4-3-3 immediately Ighalo came in.

We need some one not holder than 45 to either take post or support Rohr as the coach. Salisu too should go

Rhor is not a WC standard coach. He wasted our substitution by starting ldowu and Iheanacho. when its obvious that lheanacho does not fit in, Rhor made d worst mistake of bringing ighalo instead of lwobi. We needed lwobi to help in possesing ball upfront and making a penetrative passes to a speedy Musa. When argentina were bringing in strikers, we have defensive midfielders that would have helped choke d spaces but Rhor was confused on who to remove. I can confidently say that his selection failed us.

Let's stop consoling ourselves with this "learnt lesson" line. It's an old excuse. The coach actually made that formation look like 343

I have rewatched the Ighalo miss thanks to the gifs and my keen observation is that the chance was a 50/50 chance which would have been converted by a very confident striker. A highly motivated, pumped up Musa may have scored that goal.
Ighalo should have attempted to bring the ball to his left and finished with a curler. But instead, took the easy option of shooting the ball and hoping it doesn't deflect off target by the defender.
Strikers are trained to be as composed as snippers but without confidence, you'd never hit the target.

Which attitude?

The guy worked for the team throughout the match and you can see Argentina knew he was a threat hence the marking they gave him.

Honestly, Victor Moses' talent was wasted on that wing.

MetalJigsaw:
We crashed out right from the first match bro. If we had gotten something from that game this Argentina match would most certainly be a mere formality.

After the draws for our group was made I expected Rohr to gauge his chances of picking the necessary I points amongst the other teams in the group and pursue it.

Rohr had no plans. He was bereft of ideas going into this tournament despite the number of friendlies and tactical experimentation. And it became obvious when he released his lineup against Croatia.

Why ignore neglect something that is working for you like magic??

Why keep playing Shehu ahead of Tyrone?

It never a debate that Tyrone is much better than Shehu.

Iwobi is the answer to our AM issues going to Russia.

The 352 is ideal. Its too essential to this team for it to be overlooked.

But the dude still played the useless 4-2-3-1 that never yields results. Pushing Iwobi to one side as a winger, lost the match and expecting to beat or expect something iceland and a Messi- led Argentina in the final game.

Rohr left it too late. He practically started his own World Cup in the second game against Iceland. The first two games were his biggest chances.
Even a kid knows that
We defended well today. Great organisation. The coach cost us the match for not bringing in fresh people to track the fresh wingers Argentina brought in.

If you noticed Argentina kept spreading the balls to the wings. If our coach was sound he would have made changes to counteract that as early as 75th min.

We lost to tactical superiority and not necessarily because ighalo missed those 2 chances. A draw was what we wanted: not as if we expected ighalo to score.
