My Dad said the same thing many years back ,it still lingers in my memory. FIFA sees African nations as a non-marketable continent for football, they will keep cheating us. Compare the number of Argentine fans in that stadium to Nigerian fans, they outnumbered us. FIFA is a capitalist organisation they need money, only big footballing nations can give them Dinero(Money). Senegal would be the next to be cheated. Even the commentator was saying world cup won't be interesting if Argentina don't join their fellow elites. Football is business.
I told my younger brother this same words on Monday
Re: Non-Nigerians React Harshly After Nigeria’s Loss To Argentina by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 11:27am On Jun 27, 2018
They robbed us, if many had watched what they did to Morocco against Spain, I knew they would do the same thing to other African nations in this tournament. My advice to African teams always take your chances and avoid making silly mistakes. Am sure if it were to be our defender that committed the foul, Argentina would have been awarded a penalty.
As for those people saying Leon Balogun should have been given a red card, that wasn't a red card offence because Omeruo was the last man while Leon and the Argentine player were behind him. As for the the penalty they gave us, it was well deserved, the scenario was similar to what Ekong did to Mandzukich.
Qatar 2002 is at the corner let our coach continues from where he stopped, we should qualify for AFCON. We need to qualify for AFCON 2019, is being long we participated in that tournament.
God bless Nigeria!
God bless Africa!

oga there Is nothing like ball to hand in present day football..handball is handball wen the ball torches the hand in the game of football.,the ref personally decided not give the penalty not because of any ball to hand thing ..no blame sha..if ighalo had scored the first chance he had,and also the second one, with an option of giving ndidi,we for no dey talk of handball or ball to hand matter..
This is exactly what I was talking about right there.

We simply weren't good enough. The only cheating would be if balls were in the net and referee called it a foul.

The ref did a good job. He gave you a first penalty and out of greed and selfishness you demanded a second. How many PK you wan chop in a game? If you can't score from open play then you deserve to come back home.

I watched this match and watched it again today, I didn't see how naija was robbed. Firstly we were given a very soft penalty which compensated for the Kung Fu against iheanacho in d 1st half. The 2nd penalty plea wld have bn possible if d ball touched d defender 1st on his arm b4 d head or ighalo headed it and his arm stopped it. D defender even put d ball nicely 4 ighodalo only 4 d pipe to fire wide. We got what we deserve. Let's stop crying over spilled milk and move on. Don't also 4get that baloguns foul could have earned him a red. It was a balanced game. Ighalo should have square passed his second chance to ndidi to finish off, but everyone wanted to shine like musa

bros the first pk goes along wit same pk awarded to Croatia..that ball na hand ball inside box 18 and for that footballing rules states its penalty..me not here for blame shifting..if to say ighalo scored is own chances who for dey talk of penalty and no penalty..

We always look for excuse for our failure. Referee have nothing to do with our loss. Did we score and it was disqualified? Our players and coaches failed us. I have always said it that the best form of defense is attacking. We just didn't take our chances. Angentina was hungrier than us to qualify for next round and they got it.

Seriously bro, that is why I see football as entertainment. I watch it for fun. Anybody that says they don' write scripts in football is just deceiving himself. Why was Sepp Blatter against VAR? He knows what his people(FIFA) are capable of. Brother, I read about the way they do the bidding for world cup, it is real war where Presidents/Kings/Heads of states, lobby to win the bidding. Football is just beyond an ordinary sport, it is a business venture.

Hello.Since yesterdays' match,I have heard many Nigerian make the claim for African countries to boycott the senior male world cup and only focus on the AFCON.Is that a realistically possible outcome?

I won't support that, we must participate in every FIFA world cup competition. We must not allow Europe and the Americas take over our slots. All we need now is to step up our game.

Mr. man talk wetin you know England were awarded two penalties against Panama in this same World Cup which were both scored by Harry Kane
bros abeg make we hear word, there was no robbery anywhere. It was clearly a handball and could very well have been given. But di maria was one on one with our keeper and the ref did not redcard our player, which was the sensible decision. Higuain was brought down in the box too. The penalty we had was a gift we should have made the most of. Looking at everything, the ref was fair to both teams.

Thank you Sir.

I think we deserve to lose. Croatia and Iceland were tactful, they made sure Messi did not get enough chance to score. What did we do? Messi was left almost totally unmarked for him to score. Even look at the accurate passes from the Argentines that led to the second goal.

Our strikers were not patient enough in front of goal to score. They were to hasty to score.

I also blame the coach. When you know that your strikers are not scoring goals, you have the power to change them, bring in new legs from the bench whose legs are still fresh. Behave like the German coach who is always thinking and calculating.
Too bad.

Also, the blood of innocent babies that were murdered in Plateau has power to bring us down.
On the field we did not inform the world that we are mourning, players did not put on black band.
We believe that hard work is important but we failed to realise that the spiritual controls the physical.

Nigerians need to repent. God is not happy because of the innocent blood shed every day allover Nigeria.

We were never robbed. We failed to do the right thing.
