A bit sad nigeria is out tho, But what's the essence of going past the 1st round when we all know they cant do shit
If they had managed to qualify, can they beat France?
And if they do, they would either meet Portugal or Uruguay
who dem fit beat here?
Me I need competitive teams for this world cup ooh
I'm vouching for Germany or Spain for glory though
The truth is that we don't have the team to make it pas group stage. Argentina is even a poor team in this tournament, and we were struggling to draw our match with them. what an absurdity! Even Iran did better in their last match.

Anyway, I'm giving it to either Brazil, France and spain. But I'm tipping Brazil to win. I don't think that German team can go past quarter finals, judging from their performance so far.

Can we just face the facts already! The rule as I see it states that it's meant to be a foul since his hand was stretched out.
Sentiments aside, it should have been a penalty. Even non-Nigerians are even complaining self.
The pic says ball to an outstretched hand or arm. Rojo's case is different, he nodded the ball first. You could see the ref illustrating saying it was head first before his hand.. That rule says ball to hand at first instance

Honestly that wasnt a Penalty, he headed the ball to his hand, not like his hand went up to block the ball......

Moreover Ighalo only protested after missing

If MESSI was a COUNTRY, I'd be a MESSICAN

Lets assume ighalo scored that goal and ref canceled it and blew a penalty and we missed won't Nigerians have also called it cheating for blowing a penalty don't blame the ref blame the striker that left Epl for China

You are rather being emotional than factual.

You think football decisions are made like your monkey goal post five-aside soccer.

Rojo did not commit any penalty.
Go and read FIFA rules concerning hadlng balls that can result in a penalty.

Your blame should rightly go to Ighalo and the lack of concentration and focus from your team in the dying minutes.
Wtach the way the Iceland and Coratians players hande the Argentines and compare that to Nigeria.

They tried but luck and lack of focus was not on their side.
spot on, well said my brother, i know it hurts to loose in the early stage, pls lets not be abusive, the question is, if we managed to pull through that game, would we have been able to stand Francehuh your guess is as good as mine, shalom

Nonsense, Africa is good enough, although I agree that it wasn't a penalty, the boys played well. Ghana, Senegal and Nigeria have reached quarterfinal. Nigeria has won Olympic gold, we are good at under aged toutnaments, Aftica is good, our problem is "football age" Iheanacho is already weak because of fake age.

Senegal is still in the game, all never spoil
-Yet 4 out of the 5 teams are already out, and we're not even done with week 2 of the tournament?
-We're not talking about history are we? Besides a total of 4 quarterfinal appearance from an entire continent that plays football as their main sport is a total embarrassment.
-Because we always use over-aged players. Why do we keep fooling ourselves?

because he wanted to make up for the one he denied iheanacho. it is as simple as that
So if he was biased why would he do that?

This your analysis is rubbish, you don't need your hand to be above your head before a penalty can be awarded. he may not have intentionally headed the ball to his arm, neither was it unavoidably. He was not being challenged, had his arms spread out wide and Igalo next to him. That is definitely a poor defending from Rojo and a clear penalty to Nigeria.
Had it been Nigeria was leading by one goal to Nil and Argentina finds themselves in this same scenario that referee would not have wasted time in awarding a penalty.
We all know Adidas is Fifa biggest Sponsor and Messi is their largest investment. That penalty decision would have been bad for business.
simple English una no fit understand. since ref no award penalty, make u go award am na. nonsense. like u said, if Argentina had bin awarded a penalty in that same scenario, wud u still b saying the same tin u r saying now? come on, fvck outta here with ur hypocritical hogwash. puta.

Nigeria should leave sentiment, Rather face the man ighalo who sent us home, it wasn't a penalty. I knew it wasn't a penalty the minutes the Idiot started complaining. The ball touched his Head before the Hand, if the ball had touched the head directly that would have been a penalty
u meant "had touched the hand directly"

If Ighalo had scored the goal, would you be here saying bullshit? What about the first penalty, did anyone even spot it before the ref blew? So he wasn't bias when he awarded the first penalty which wasn't even worth it but suddenly became biased afterwards sore losers.

That was one of the best ref so far in the tournament.
No sane ref would award that penalty because it didn't in anyway stop or even interrupt a goal scoring opportunity in fact it even aided the Nigerian striker and Ighalo only started protesting after he had missed a perfect chance
well said bro, say no more!!

Don't even go there cos the 1st penalty was similar to the scenario ref awarded penalty against Ekong in our 1st match
I never said it wasn't a penalty. I said most of us didn't spot the foul initially and our players barely protested, yet he gave it to us. So how can we say the ref was biased? We lost fair & square

People are claiming the ref was biased and they don't want Africa to win, that was why I pointed out the 1st penalty he gave us.
Secondly, if you watch football very often, you would know that not every time the ball touches a player hand that it's a foul otherwise there would be penalties in every single game. The Iran's situation was completely different. Rojo's was purely accidental and the ref would have been very harsh to give a pen in that instance.

Truth be told, if there was no Video Assistance there, the referee might be excused of the mistake.
He went to view the replays after his attention was called to it. Rojo will definitely need to raise his arm to make the jump, but that doesn't excuse him from touching the ball with his hands. Let's face the facts, if you say his head touched the ball before his arm, we can all be excused of doing the same in subsequent matches.
For those complaining that the first penalty wasn't merited, that was the exact type of penalty awarded to the Croatians against the super eagles. Both penalty incidence last night had similar occurrence which was awarded to the benefiting teams. Like Alan shearer said, VAR is utter bolloks

Cedric's was even more of an "accident" than Rojo's.
Croatia was awarded a penalty in similar situation to our first penalty

That's not true. Cedric's wasn't intentional obviously but it was more of a penalty that this one.
Cedric's arm stopped a ball towards the box played by the opponent.
Rojo clearly intercepted the ball with his head but it came off his arm.

We are only arguing because Ighalo was such a waste. If he had scored when the ball fell to him, there would have been no need to even talk about the VAR.
