Germany's exit means that Low will resign or be sacked, the new manager might decide to hand call ups to new faces which might include the likes of uduokhai and akpoguma, honestly i wouldn't like us to lose those guys to the Germans.

Lol so much hate for one player just because a weak Argentina side won our country.

People like you go support portugal if dem meet naija because of your love for ronaldo, argentina is a weak team and the hate for messi still continue.

Smh for you all,i just hope this thread doesnt become boring soon.
Park somewhere else. I support Nigeria first and foremost. Some Nigerians were supporting Argentina just so Messi can win Ballon D'Or. I don't care about CR7 - but now I do. #TeamCR7
People like you should never have picked a player over their own country.

That was a penalty all day and a penalty and half on Sundays. Even the VAR reviewers felt that it was a penalty, that's why they asked the referee to consult the VAR. That one was even more of a penalty than the one given in the Iran Portugal game!

An absolute coward of a ref simply refused to see (even via a VAR check) an obvious 2nd penalty for Nigeria!
Yet more evidence of the corruption of FIFA, as the ref was clearly under instruction from FIFA to do anything to help Argentina win the match. ...and why? .....simply because of corporate sponsorship revenue in Argentina. It's in FIFA's interest that Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo stay as long as possible in the world cup. It's all about money!

And by the way, no-one has seems to have made a comment on why Rojo was still on the pitch, he should have gone in the 1st half with the head high challenge in the box on Iheanacho! I thought that was a penalty but the pundits went on as if Rojo has made a brilliant challenge and Iheanacho shouldn’t have had his head there!!

FIFA isn't about Fair Play at all! Nigeria should have had 3 penalties, while Argentina should have had several more yellow cards and even one red card with the double leg challenge earlier in the game! It's disgraceful!

O pari

TheGoodJoe:

The outstretched part of the write up is when trying to judge if it accidental or not. If a player outstretches his arm and an opponent plays the ball, it is taken that the player stretched his arms intentionally to deny the opposition a scoring opportunity.

In this case Rojo's arms were not totally outstretched. He jumped to nod the ball, nodded it and accidentally it hit his hand. Never intentional and purely accidental. No way a penalty.

Finito.

Something didn't feel right about Germany in this tournament. Infact from the point of selections.

Frankly I think that the German Federation and Bundesliga need to take a look at the current set up of their game. The overall dominance of Bayern Munich does not help the competitiveness of their current league.
Bayern's overbearing dominace is bound to catch up with them at some point.

I cant add more to this but Loew felt he could do anything and get away with it since he won the world cup and confed cup. Imagine leaving out Sane for one flimsy excuse of a player, Brandt. Mtcheeew

That's why I felt his decision to move before the world cup was poor. There was no need to rush. Think it all boils down to money. Even at that - a club like Wolves might have picked him up

No, he might not be able to handle the pressure of the Premier League just yet. Agreed midfielders don't face lots of pressure, but if he plays extremely well for Stoke without the media of the EPL, he will have a blossoming career. It's all good in either case, Stoke is the biggest team not in the EPL.

How I wished our players played with purpose yesterday we would have been anticipating a round of 16 match with France.
This South Korean win has even made the loss more painful for me to bear.

Firstly all the blame goes to coach Rohr, you had fresh legs on the bench and you refused to bring them on it was obvious that Idowu was tired, etebo was tired even mikel was forcing himself but Rohr was sacred of making changes.
The moment we scored the penalty all our players went back to defend they were giving the ball back to Argentina by making nonpurposeful clearance when you have nobody upfront.
The tactics would have been try to keep the ball and play the game in their own half but instead the last 15 minutes of the match was played in our own half.

Secondly Ighalo; man you totally bleeped up you fall hands big time, you really stabbed our hearts big time!!!!

Thirdly, The boys fought hard and their efforts should be commended even though we lost.

But I will never stop being a believer,A time will come when we shall dominate the world and our flag shall be the brightest. I just pray that God keeps us alive to witness those moments.

SUPEREAGLES TILL I DIE!!!!

The man of excuses is at it again. For this particular act, I want Rohr served his sack letter. As much as I hate our local coaches, this is the last straw that broke the camel's back. We cant keep this man, enough is enough. Is he such a coward that his players decide for him? Gush!!!

''I wanted to bring out Ahmed Musa but he said he wanted to stay and was fit to finish the match, we were waiting for the end of the match to make two other changes, everybody did well, nobody had to go out.
''If I had seen what happened in the first half, perhaps I would not have started with the same team because one of my players was not really fit and he went out halftime but you never can know.
''It's possible one player in the starting XI is not fit, we have to accept that and make the change.''

For me Rohr is not tactically sound at all. He deserves the sack. He always makes like for like substitutions. He does not know how to read a game except friendly matches.
I have never seen a worst coach as this man. For good 85 minutes he only made one substitution how in hell is that man a coach. He should have been Burkina Faso or Niger coach. The same mistake Siasia made that denied us participation at Afcon 2012 this man Rohr made.
How will you just sit on the bench looking like an idiot when all you needed to do is to kill off the game for just 6-10 minutes. Bring in Ebeuhi for Musa, Ogu for Mikel, disrupt the opponents game by calling for substitutions.
This idiot of a coach messed up big time even the clueless sport minister accused him of sabotage.
Rohr sabotaged us

That guy is a disgrace, while others were fighting for points, he was busy fighting for a mere shirt. He should be axed from the Eagles ASAP. He has no shame
